I started teaching individual lessons when I was still at school. I got the 'bug' and it has never left!
I graduated fromTeacher Training College in 1979 with a B. Ed. Degree (Exeter University), and moved to Clevedon to take up my first teaching post. I love Clevedon, and have subsequently remained here!
Throughout my career I have taught many subjects in infant, junior and secondary classrooms, with a heavy bias towards music. I have also taught thousands of individual music lessons with an excellent record of examination passes.
More recently I left my Head of Dept post in a secondary school to rebuild my private teaching clientelle; my favourite!
Currently, my youngest pupils are 4 and my eldest 66. . . I find it easy to adapt to all ages and abilities. I make lessons FUN and also set realistic but challenging goals.
(I also teach singing to LARGE groups of children, and have won cups and medals for excellence, but for now, that is another story! )
