Kathy Seabrook's Fun Music! I have set up this page to let everyone know where they can find me doing Fun Music classes around the Scarborough area. Please post all your requests and questions about Fun Music on this page!

What is Fun Music?

Fun Music sessions last around 50 /60 minutes during which time there will be nursery rhymes, new and traditional songs, dancing and movement to music, often with props and scarves, and there's always a chance to play on different percussion instruments.
As a special treat, Kathy always plays her flute, piccolo or saxophone in the sessions, either for jamming along to or for listening time. The children love hearing and seeing these wind instruments, and so the Fun Music sessions just fly by!

Whilst the emphasis of Fun Music is of course, fun, we hope the children will be learning and developing in all sorts of ways, along with your support!

Singing, rhythmic and listening skills
Creativity and imagination
Growing in confidence
Awareness of others
Learning to take turns
Following simple instructions
Introducing new concepts like -
Loud and soft
Slow and fast
Start and stop

Fun Music sessions are for children and babies aged from birth to 6 years, accompanied by an adult. Parents, grandparents, child minders, nurseries and schools are welcome to bring their children to join in the musical fun – but be prepared to shake a shaker!
