Just getting ready to board the plane home to Ireland. As much as I loved this trip I canвҖҷt wait to get my feet back on Irish Soil.
I would like to say once again how proud I am of everyone who represented Kazoku Karate & there country this week you all were exceptional.
Kazoku Karate finished a hugely Successful World Championships coming 24th out of 87 federations across 40 countries with only 13 fighters not a bad Championships at all from Kazoku Karate Club from Co.Down... Ireland.

Did not get the result we wanted today finishing in third place getting narrowly pipped by eventual winners Scotland 1-0
I have really enjoyed this World Championships & believe on a personal note I fought very well just unfortunate not to place in Individuals and getting so close to that elusive gold team medal. But we go back to the drawing board, when we donвҖҷt win we learn.
I now just canвҖҷt wait to get home and see my beautiful baby girl RГӯoghnach Grace and my wife to be... Olivia Giffen not long now to the big day only 27days hopefully this black eye will have cleared up by then рҹ‘ҠрҹҷҲрҹҳӮ

Day 3... Where to start?! Kazoku Karate canвҖҷt stop winning medals!!
The biggest ever World WUKF Karate Championships with over 2,500 Competing each category was huge but we had some unbelievable performances and I have to say, I am one proud coach today.
Martin Cunningham has made history for Kazoku Karate once again by getting gold in our 1st ever Disability Kata section with some great Katas on show.
... Izobella Moynihan was next on the podium. This young girl put in unbelievable effort before these world championships, putting in extra morning sessions with myself and today it was all worth the blood, sweat & tears. She got gold in her mini cadets individual Kumite. Unreal!!
We then had Ryan McCourt on the podium next who once again fought through rounds on rounds to achieve a hard fought Bronze Individual Kumite Medal, being narrowly defeated in the last seconds of his semi final.
And last but not least.
Neala Owens has become World Individual Kumite Champion for girls 9 Years & Under. What a performance she put in! Neala has been very unlucky the last couple of major competitions narrowly getting beat just before medal stages but today she made up for that in style by winning her final bout 4-1. Super Neala!
The rest of the guys who fought today fought tremendously well. Their performances were very very good but they just did not get the rub of the green at crucial times in fights. Everyone who was beaten, the person who beat them have all reached medal stages on the podium which shows that Kazoku are competing with the best in the world.
My own personal performance. I was happy with how I fought but just narrowly beaten by Chris Rowan in the 1/4 final. Again another tough but enjoyable fight where it could have gone either way but Chris got the result this time. I want to wish him the very best of luck tomorrow in his semi final.
We go again tomorrow for finals day!! Myself, Barry & Conor will fight Scotland in the team rotation semi final which is sure to be another entertaining match up.
