What a great pub! Awesome food, a range of gin and single malts larger than I've seen anywhere in Wales and beautiful scenery. I got told they have 27 brand new rooms too, so my next visit, I'll be getting far more drunk and staying the night, can't wait!

User

We stopped here for lunch on our way to the beach, atmosphere was warm and inviting

Unfortunately I couldn’t have the teal pie as they had ran out...... but I had the lasagne on the specials board instead... all I can say is... I’m so glad I didn’t have the steak pie because the lasagne was one of the best I’ve ever tasted 5* from me

We received outstanding service today at the Kings Head, Gower. We stopped in for a but of lunch for a special occasion and they went out of their way to make it special for us. Food was amazing and portions huge!

User

We have just spent two nights at the Kings Head, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room we stayed in was bright and airy, with plenty of storage space. We did experience a problem with our shower, but it was resolved within 30 minutes of us reporting it!

The restaurant served up a great selection, and both the evening meal and breakfast were superb. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again😁 👍

User

The nicest food we've had whilst visiting South Wales and really good value considering it was all fresh made. Really lovely atmosphere too, a big thumbs up from us !

Just back from 3 wonderful days on the Gower. Made even better by our 1st stay at the Kings Head. Fantastic room (25) very modern, spacious and the bath was like a plunge pool. ( just what you need to soak in after a 10 mile hike).

Staff lovely, food 10 out of 10 especially the steaks, Sirloin and Rib Eye up there with the best I have ever tasted. Fantastic well stocked bar with probobly one of the biggest Gin and Single Malt collections you will see.

Thank you for making us feel so welcome cant wait to return.

I was lucky to win an overnight stay in this wonderful pub, the room was top class with a lovely huge bath we had our evening meal which was delicious followed by cocktails mixed up by the lovely Paul.... thank you x

User

I was lucky to be a winner with the advent elf (who we got to see at breakfast!) Gorgeous room, food was fantastic and great value for money. We had a great break away. Many thanks to you all x

I am lucky enough that my husband takes me and our dog away to the Kings Head for the night every year for my birthday. We've just returned from this year's visit and had a perfect time!

- The rooms are super snuggly - ideal for when it's raining out! The dog loves the underfloor heating and I love the size of the bathtub! Deepest bath I've ever been in.

- The staff are fantastic and can't do enough for you.

- Having the cosy dog friendly pub on site is perfect for us. Even though our dog is a bit old and grumpy we are always able to have a nice meal and a few drinks without her getting upset.

- The food was delicious! Both in the evening and also our breakfast the next day.

Thank you Kings Head, see you this time next year if not before!

User

Had a fab afternoon at the gin festival. Friendly bar staff. Need to go back to sample the food 😉

User

Great weekend with the dogs where we experienced fantastic rugby, four seasons of weather, good food, terrific service and overall a wonderful warm Welsh welcome. Even the sheep were friendly!

User

Friendly staff. Picturesque location. Lovely sized room - clean and warm (the temperarures outside were freezing when we stayed) and good facilities. Would be a great place to stay during the summer as the double doors of the ground floor rooms open onto a courtyard. The breakfast menu has a great choice. We tried laverbread for the first time, and the bar is well stocked with a variety of gins and whiskies.

User

Fantastic food and beer, even better customer service.

Noticed an oil leak on my Land Rover in the Kings Head carpark, the owner and a close friend of his, helped me diagnose the issue, provided oil and patched up the problem for me to get home! Good people helping out others in need!

Can’t recommend this place enough. Will be returning, and there will be a beer on me every time I do so! Thank you guys!

User

Book in advance if you want to get a table! Food is great, we had the duck special, a pizza, the steak pie and the pork belly - all were delicious. This is a lovely pub with a relaxed atmosphere and we will definitely visit again.

User

Beautiful accommodation in a wonderful part of Wales. Highly recommended for an overnight stay, a meal or even just a drink or two. Fabulous selection of gin along with an amazing selection of their own beers from the Gower Brewery. December saw our second stay with the Kings Head and it most certainly won’t be our last! Thank you to all the staff at the Kings Head for looking after us so well (from the front of house to the housekeeping to the bar staff and the kitchen staff too).

User

Amazing weekend. Lovely people and fantastic staff. Food out of this world and the gins were brilliant. My hake meal was beautiful and the views amazing. Definitely go again.

User

Good food, quick and friendly service. Only rated a 4 not a 5 as the front area looked a bit tired, benches looked like they could do with staining and generally a bit of a spruce up could be in order.

User

We have been staying at The Kings Head a couple of times a year for a few years now. Love the place and the nearby beaches. Super dog friendly and perfect location. Just come back from a weekend there and it was somewhat disappointing. Our main complaint being the quality of the food. The food has always been good pub food. Nothing too exciting, just good honest pub grub. Sadly the food seems to have gone downhill a bit. Not bad enough to complain to the staff about just not very good and it should be for the prices charged. Also the organisation seems have gone downhill a bit too. No interest from the waiting staff as to whether or not all was okay with the meals, dirty tables and toilets in the bar area and no names on reserved tables etc. Sad to say we might be looking for somewhere else for our next trip.

User

Enjoyed a lovely lunch yesterday so much so that we came again today. Staff very friendly and made us and our dog feel very welcome. Excellent food and good value. Will be visiting again before the end of our holiday.
