We've been on site for 4 year now and seen a few changes to the Lairds this time it's for the good the foods been great every time we've been up and young Andrew is great to get on with as are the rest of the staff well worth a visit 👍
We were there on Saturday night. Absolutely fantastic night and great atmosphere. The live band were great. The place was rocking. New owners were very friendly made everyone welcome. Looking forward to spending more nights there.

Had a special evening. Perfect surrounding, open fire, excellent wholesome food, friendly staff and landlord. You can't go wrong. Pip and John from Whitley Bay

Had a meal Thursday 6th April fish and chips excellent went back Friday 7th April had Balmoral chicken excellent meal again
Had a lovely meal with more than ample portions- our two border terrier dogs were there too and the waiter was very welcoming to them- gave them some gravy biscuits too. Food was excellent and the atmosphere was good too- if there was anything negative I would say it wasn't as warm as it could have been but the waiter rectified that by bringing an oil heater next to the table- I would certainly without question go again- it's 5 stars from me.
Had a lovely meal friday night,very reasonably priced. It was opening night for new owners very friendly, great atmosphere, fab evening felt like old times. New owners have at last got it right!! looking forward to many more visits Delighted

Had a fantastic stay at the site. Brilliant band fantastic welcome in the bar. Ate twice - food was great and service so nice .Will definately return. Get yourselves along. Even got some jelly beans to taste !! 😎

I was there today for a bar lunch most enjoyable never been before but will definitely go again lovely bar and Christine was very welcoming

Friendly service, good food. Steak Ale was really tasty. Pudding is massive!
Atmospheric pub with open fire roaring, Sunday Roast Beef and Chicken, Beef was cooked to perfection and generously portioned vegetables were cooked well although a slightly larger portion might be needed for some, we also ordered desserts apple crumble and custard and chocolate fudge cake for the adults and a generous portion of ice cream with a choice of sauce for the kids. Just what we were looking for on a wet Sunday afternoon. The landlords were very friendly and helpful wish them all the best in their New Venture.

barman told me at 6.45 meal were running late and if we had kids they would be served first . The kid in our company got seven at 8.50pm and the other 6 of us got served at 9.05 shocking to wait that long for fish & chips
