We had some very special visitors this afternoon at Little Munchkins! One of our lovely parents brought in their pets to show the children. ‘George the snake’ ‘Bandit the bearded dragon’ ‘ Blueberry the guinnepig’ and ‘Dotty, Toothless and Spotty the hissing roaches’ 😊

This morning the children enjoyed planting sunflowers. We spoke about the process of growth and changes over time.
The children commented:
“We need to plant flowers so bees can have nectar”

Also to Samantha Peasland and I 😘 The best business partner and I wouldn’t want to be on this journey with anyone else. We are so determined and we can achieve anything together. We said for years we would own our own nursery together and look at us ❤️
... Just a summary of some of our best bits: 2014-2019 1. Started as childminders 24.03.2014 2. August 2014: Good ofsted. 3. Moved to nursery premises & turned into Day Nursery January 2016 for 20 children a day 4. Good ofsted January 2018 5. Introduced our own uniform for children 2018. 6. Little Munchkins website was published October 2018 7. 1st Place in Tesco bags for help Nov/Dec 2018 8. January 2019: Expanded to 30 children a day with a new Pre school room. 9. March 2019: Awarded Grade 5 Very good for Food Hygiene 10. Now we are a team of 10. Sam and I employ 8 people. Crazy but exciting times.
We would like to thank all our amazing families for their continued support of Little Munchkins.
A special thank you to our Deputy Manager Kayleigh Tucker ❤️ who supports us no end in everything we do and gives us the balance of work and time with our families too. We would be lost without you.

The 2 year olds had lots of fun making play dough yesterday morning. We spoke about the process and the different ingredients needed to make play dough. We decided to make red playdough for Red Nose Day today 🔴🔴

We are happy to announce we have just been graded a 5 for our ‘food hygiene’ rating 🌟🌟

Just a reminder that Friday is Red Nose Day. So if you would like to, please come in dressed in something red for a donation of £1 towards Comic Relief.

At circle time today we spoke to our preschool children about ‘golden rules’ and why it is important to be kind to one another. The children also enjoyed listening to our new books that focus on promoting positive behaviour 😊

We have had a busy morning. The preschool children have enjoyed ‘sing and sign time’, our sign of the week is ‘please’ 🎵 🎶

The babies have had lots of fun so far this morning! We plan to spend lots of time outside making the most of the sunshine ☀️
