Stunning view of Three Cliffs Bay today whilst the volunteers are clearing bracken and gorse from the beautiful heathland at Notthill
Our Walk Wednesdays proved very popular over the summer, so we've added on two more dates - 19 & 26 September. No need to book, just meet outside our shop at Rhossili. Visit our website for details on all our events: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/rhossili -and-sout…/whats-on
Congratulations to our Area Ranger Claire, who has completed 20 years service with National Trust. Thank you Claire for your dedication and hard work over the years. And thanks to volunteer Susie for making this amazing cake!
Just look at this wonderful picture of a common blue butterfly, taken by Rhys Morgan at our lovely Whiteford Burrows...Enough to brighten any dull Monday!

This little friend has been waiting for his owners to get in touch since the 11th August and he'd really like to go home now. He was found at Rhossili. Contact us on 01792 390707. Please share.
Join us for a free archaeology taster session in Rhossili on 29 August 1pm-5pm. Learn how to look for historical artefacts beneath your feet in the ancient fields of the Vile. Use our metal detectors and discover the hidden world of a thousand years of farming in Rhossili. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/…/21a4 1105-8…/pages/details
A change of scenery for our volunteers today. Going back to traditional methods - scything the haymeadow Llanerchaeron NT last scythed by hand in 1917 before the introduction of mechanical grass cutters!
We've still just over a week of Summer fun left, with activities on each day. This coming Sunday, why not join us with Ripnrock for a climbing and abseil session? No previous experience required. Exploring routes around Rhossili where few have gone before. Everyone comes back from the Ripnrock sessions with a big smile on their face. A little bit of a challenge and a whole lot of fun- what's not to like! https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/…/fef2 37b1-d…/pages/details
Thanks to visitor Rachel Anne for sending us these wonderful photos of her 100 year old grandad visiting the sunflowers at Rhossili. Rachel told us that he doesn't venture out very much these days and hadn't visited Gower for a number of years, but was very pleased that he made the effort, despite the rain! He's pictured here with 4 out of 14 of his great grandchildren. Lovely photos Rachel, thanks for sharing them with us.
A bright start to a grey morning....
We love it when our visitors feel rested and revived by their visits to beautiful Gower...Check out this wonderful sunflower-inspired poetry blog...

Have you been to see our sunflowers over the last couple of weeks? If you have a great shot of our 'fields of gold' (or one of the many other beautiful views to be found on Gower), then why not enter ?

Can you help find a missing owner? This dog loved the views so much he decided to stay yesterday but would now like to go home. Please call the shop on 01792 390707.
This weekend our monthly Saturday volunteer group spent the day clearing bracken on Cwm Ivy Tor. Clearing this has encouraged over 80 species of flowers on this limestone grassland. A great job, and great for nature
Our sale has started at our Rhossili shop with up to 50% off selected items including kitchenwear, table wear, rugs cushions, scarves, pocket money toys, stationery and more!
We're open 10am-5pm seven days a week (10am-6pm at weekends throughout August) so call in and grab a bargain!
Yoga with a view anyone? Together with Breath of Life Yoga, we are holding yoga on Rhossili cliffs, 2pm every Tuesday during August. Cost: £6. No need to book
very interesting information. Just wish I could take advantage of some of the holiday cottages shown. So relaxing.
Me and my family visited South Gower and Rhossili in July 2018 and we immediately fell in love! The landscape, the tide, the walks, and of course the friendly people of Wales, have made us decide; See you again this summer!
Many many thanks to all at the National Trust Gower, in particular the wonderful Mark Hipkins for all his help, support and patience in helping make our charity walk around the Gower a massive success. At least £50,000 raised...so far!
