What a beautiful start to the day at Staintondale and Ravenscar. Lovely sunrise this morning.

Threshers Cottage ready for our guests arriving this evening. This bright and relaxing cottage with log burner in its cosy lounge, is a popular barn conversion that has been sympathetically converted for holidays.

We would like to say a big thank you to David Michael Ward for a fabulous Accoustic Picnic.

Wow fabulous evening in Whitby watching HM Bark Endeavour arriving in Whitby this evening. We love Whitby

The beautiful garden in Fern Cottage, I think the clematis has recovered from a harsh winter. We nearly pulled it out it looked dead for such a long time.

We had the builder in sorting out a few little things out just to keep our properties in tip top condition for our guests so that you all enjoy your your holidays.

We love exploring the North York Moors National Park and especially the Cinder Track from Scarborough to Whitby, it is right on our door step! It is ideal for walking with our dogs the sights, sounds and even the smells are ever changing year round.

Rievaulx Abbey is an amazing ruin to visit owned by the National Trust it is situated in a stunning location just outside Helmsley.
We had a guided tour by one of the monks and this can be arranged if you ring and book prior to your visit.
There is parking on site and a fabulous cafe serving light meals, drinks and wonderful cakes. If you prefer it is also easy to walk to from Helmsley, the walk is approximately 2.5 miles and can easily be done in a couple of hours.

Today we have visited Eden Camp that is located near the market town of Malton just off the A64.
This is a museum with a difference it allows you a look back in time to see what it was like to fight in the first and second world wars. I t also shows what it was like for families left at home.
It has extensive displays showing every aspect of life for all. Have a look at these pictures and see if you know what they are.

Wow what a wonderful cottage fern cottage is everything and much more for a break away. So peaceful in an ideal setting. Had a fantastic meal in the pub that's at the end of the drive. Visited all the local places ( Whitby, Robin Hood Bay, Sandsend Gothland ). And after a long day exploring there's nothing finer than a soak in the hottub. The cottage was so clean and to top it off a welcome pack of milk, wine and fresh home made scone. Fantastic place to fetch your dog loads of walks. Will definitely be back

Myself, my children and the rest of our family have just returned from a weeks stay in the farm house (9 of us in total) we had a lovely week, the cottage was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. We had our own private hot tub plus what I'm assuming was a communal one to the front of the cottage. We were lucky enough to get the loft bedroom which was perfect for myself my Partner and 2 kids (I shared a huge kingsize bed with the 2 kids, there was still plenty of space). Drying cupboards made a fab addition and the washing machines were a life saver. The little farm shop literally next door was lovely, the staff and moira the owner were lovely too. We hired the pizza over but couldn't figure it out so didn't end up using it. Kids loved the hot tub. The bryherstone pub at the bottom of the drive was amazing the food was perfect. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing break. Kids set up their playstation in the snug so the grown ups even got a little peace and quiet. Moira is always available via phone but leaves you to enjoy your holiday. We would love to return one day and hopefully will.

Myself and a group of friends, nine of us, recently stayed in all three cottages and had a fantastic time. The Cinder track (old railway line from Whitby to Scarborough which virtually passes by the end of the road), was great cycling for all abilities and Dalby Forest was not too far away for those with a greater level of adventure. Lovely walk to the beach in the and on the Cleveland Way on the Sunday. The hot tub was a huge success for those with aching limbs and what a view, amazing.

Just come back from staying at the mistal cottage. It was beautiful a real home from home. Everything thought of inside cottage to make your stay even more enjoyable. Beautiful cottage in beautiful surroundings. It was our 18 month old little boy's first holiday and he loved it. Already booked to go again next year. Really comfortable homely cottage. Really clean and well equipped. First class service from start to finish and Moria is absolutely lovely xx
