Was told about by antique shop owners near Blue Anchor Bay.

Worth the drive.

Cream tea for us and Prawn Sandwiches.

Will definitely go back.

Try it for yourself.

Visited yesterday after my dad funeral as it was one of his favourite places. Went for an evening stroll along the beach. Just what I needed. Peace and tranquillity.

User

One of the most tranquil and beautiful places in the country. A haven for old world charm, and relaxation.

User

Just what my wife and I wanted , lovely place , lovely food, great host's highly recommend it.

User

It's a picture postcard type of area that you can just sit back and relax and watch the world go by , and if your looking for a slightly unusual gift there are shops that cater for all tastes quite simply a little piece of quintessentially English countryside that is unspoilt by time a MUST see area

User

I've got to say at first it didn't look much but after we looked around and had a drink and eats we were really surprised and impressed with it all, we're off home tomorrow but will be back next year!!

User

I went to the Christmas craft fair on Saturday 19 Nov it was so good to see local crafts and wonderful things for Christmas . This place is just across Exmoor from where we now live we are sooooo lucky to live so close to a beautiful village ,and living in Exmoor is a dream come true .

User

I love to park up for a few hours, have a stroll on the beach, look in the glass shop then get lunch from the cafe as you walk through to the boats.

User

Highly recommended. My grandparents have a cottage down here. The Ship Inn is a lovely village pub with great food and an even greater atmosphere. Lovely quaint shops including Bristol Glass Blowers.

£90.00 gets a 2 night stay for 2 people including breakfast at The Ship. Perfect for a weekend getaway

User

Drove to get away from Weston Super Mate for a bit. First visit and well worth it as we found this little hidden gem. Weather wasn't great but stayed dry which was good while we wandered around the few craft shops and took in the view.

Had a great lunch in the Bottom Ship Inn the food, drink and friendly staff were all really good. I bet if it had been sunny it would have been packed but, as it was overcast it was busy but service was really quick.

Will definitely return.

Beautiful

User

Actually came to visit two WW2 pillboxes on beach. Was easy to park (£1 for an hour) and the beach was pebble but nice. Looked like there were a few places to eat by the car park area but did not pay to much attention to what was there.

User

A really pleasant surprise, a peaceful day by the water. Excellent selection of eateries. Oh, I forgot to mention Pieces of Eight boutique for the ladies.

User

A real gem! Had a wonderful weekend celebrating our silver wedding anniversary. Stayed at a lovely, quirky hotel - The anchor and the Ship Inn was also a fab and friendly pub. Lots to explore too 😊

User

A beautiful place. Lovely views with great places to eat drink and stay should you wish to.

User

We visited and had pizza and chips, lovely and freshly cooked. Going bk next wk for a cream tea so hope it's good x x

User

Pleasant bay and harbour with a superb pub, hotel, small shops + car park with good toilets.

User

One of those atmospheric, low-key British seaside attractions that haven't tried to keep up with 'the family market', so grown-ups can still enjoy a traditional day (or couple of hours) out looking at the big sky and the seascape and then have a cuppa locally. Nice!

User

Lovely, quaint little village with a few great craft shops, pub , hotel etc. Good public car park on the front and even a bus back to Minehead. The SWCP passes right through the middle of it. Worth a visit.
