Portishead Marina Description

Portishead Marina is established as one of the best equipped marina facilities in the South West.
Superbly located for visiting Bristol's historic harbour, impressive Cardiff Bay and for accessing the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal, Portishead Quays Marina holds a strategic position in the Bristol Channel.

The excellent tidal access and close proximity to the motorway network, coupled with friendly staff, available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, are just some of the reasons for choosing to berth your vessel at Portishead Marina.

Whether you are a new or existing customer, staying overnight or throughout the year, our aim is to make your stay as pleasurable as possible.

We will have a special guest joining us on 14th July for the Festival On the Quay....Amy Williams MBE will be here with the Newfoundland Rescue Dogs from 10am...
Amy will be rescued from the Marina by Fozzy and his friends, she said, ”I was looking forward to the challenge and now after meeting Fozzy I can’t wait! It’s not every day that you’re rescued from the water by a giant Newfoundland dog, I know I’ll be in safe paws….”
All the money raised by the Newfoundlands that day will be used to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome unwanted animals being cared for at Bath Cats and Dogs Home...

LOCK GATES RE-PAINT With Sun Shining and blue skies we were able to get on with our list of painting jobs! It was the boat hoist at the start of the week and now we’ve moved on to the Lock gate barriers. Starting on the inner gates with a pressure wash, follow by removing all the panels, then a re-paint with Marina Blue which due to the warm weather dried in no time at all, then re-attached the panels with new stainless nuts, washers and bolts. Unfortunately, we had to close off the gates while we worked, but the outers were still available to cross over. Over the coming weeks we will continue to re-paint the rest of the gates as we are only able to complete one section at a time. We just hope the sun stays shining on the days we will be doing it…
