What an amazing afternoon tea. There for a hims fortieth on Saturday and couldn't recommend it enough. So much food for our bellies. Yum yum

User

We took a friend here for a champagne afternoon tea for her birthday and it was amazing - plenty of food with freshly made sandwiches, the chicken and coleslaw sandwiches are so nice, scones, tray-bakes and deserts, savoury wraps, there was loads of food and all washed down with champagne. Thanks to all the staff and especially the chef Nigel for making it such a special day.

User

We recently stayed at the hotel and had a wonderful experience! We were there to celebrate an 80th birthday, nothing was too much bother to any member of staff! In particular Evelyn and Sam looked after us extremely well and I am sure that we will return again in the future! Your service, attitudes and not forgetting the laughs were second to none!! Thank you

User

We had the most beautiful afternoon tea yesterday for our friends 40th food & service was great would definitely recommend

User

We called in as we couldn't get into the wine bar, Harbour Bistro or Neptune & Prawn as for a two hour waiting list. I was very impressed with the food and service we got. We had a ten minute wait and we had two courses and a bottle of the house red for £29-95 for the two of us. The waiting staff were really nice and friendly. We really enjoyed talking to Michael. A really nice friendly young man. We will definitely be back. It's not all about the wine bar. 👍

User

Top notch place staff are great first time staying here we have eaten here a few times when are girls are with us so we have a we night booked at Easter for us all looking forward to it as portrush is our fav place for us as a family and we spend nearly our summer months here top notch fantastic hotel 👍🏻

User

My husband and I had dinner here tonight and i have to say it was the best meal we've in a long time. One portion of nachos is more than enough for two to share lol. My husband had the chicken stack and i had the steak with salad instead of fries. Portions were very generous and delicious. Couldn't believe how reasonably priced our dinner came to especially with a Jawbox gin on it .. thanks to Nigel for the dessert unfortunately we had to take it home because we were stuffed but my husband had just managed to lick the box clean . Thank you to the wonderful staff who were so friendly and efficient and engaging in conversations. Congratulations on your award its totally deserving to you all.

User

Had a wonderful afternoon tea with Prosecco for a friend's birthday. We had a fabulous time. Food was excellent, plenty of sandwiches, prawns, savoury wraps, cakes, fruit, puddings and plenty of tea also! They looked after us so well - Thanks especially to Nigel (chef) and his team. Will definitely be back.

User

Had a family weekend there over the bankholiday.14 adults and Baby Ruby.

We enjoyed a great stay the service from all staff was warm and friendly. We had a birthday party on the Saturday evening with 24 adults and 3 children and 2 infants and we were so impressed by the staff in the restuarant and the food was delicious. So thankyou once again.

User

Great room lovely and warm and very spacious. Lovely breakfast with loads of variety and a warm welcome by staff.

We were here last year for our 40th Anniversary and came back again this year as we had enjoyed it so much.

I love Portrush rain hail or shine.

We will be back again next year.

Thanks to all the staff we had a great time.

User

We were lucky enough to get a good price ,breakfast included ,for a couple of days during half term. Reception team were friendly and helpful. Room was clean , beds comfortable , bedding and towels spotless. Lovely sea view room. Only criticism is that carpets look worn and some redecoration is needed due to wear and tear. Spoilt for choice at breakfast which is buffet style. Food is freshly cooked and frequently replenished. The dinner menu was slightly limited but the food was fresh, cooked as requested and the shared fish platter starter was terrific. Restaurant/bar staff were friendly and efficient . We will definitely stay here again

User

Stayed last night for the second time, room was spacious and clean and with a sea view. Breakfast was lovely however the orange juice and bread hadn’t been replenished which was a little disappointing. The only issue we had was in the bathroom when the shower was turned on a pipe above the shower door sprayed the whole room. Luckily we hadn’t placed our clothes or valuables in there.

All in all we enjoyed our stay and it was good value

User

Just back after staying a few days absolutely a fabulous hotel staff really really friendly and helpful rooms spotless an food fresh an beautiful would recommend to anyone i will definitely be back

I always review (up to a max) of 4* after only one visit, so please don't feel hard done by, always room for improvement. We arrived very early and expected to be told, our room wasn't available, however, after a friendly welcome we were pleasantly surprised to be told, that we could have our room. The room was (in general) clean, tidy and well presented, although dust had been allowed to gather on the shelves/drinks areas. All bedding/towels were clean. The windows were opened on arrival which was not an issue, as the radiator was easily adjusted and the room was quickly heated. At breakfast we were seated and the breakfast format was politely explained. There was a reasonable/good, well presented variety of food on offer, our hot choices were very nice, supported by tea/coffee and juice. We checked out and were asked if we'd enjoyed our stay. We had, and had no complaints. The covered parking was a nice bonus and gave us piece of mind. We would be happy to revisit. Our room was 217, thank you.

Was in the restaurant yesterday evening with family and friends. We were a party of 7 in total. We had a guest with us and had never been to this hotel before nor indeed Portrush. We had went to this hotel on recommendations from our friends who had been regular diners here and indeed were part of our party.

We made orders via some friendly waiting staff, but we were totally let down by the service from the so called award winning restaurant. We didn't order anything unusual just what was on the menu. Mains came out, we waited 15 mins for veg. Then to be told chef hadn't got, food cold while waiting. Chips with main could be counted. I had 7 excluding a black one. Our international guest waited 15 minutes for chips then their meal was also cold. Out of 7 meals the only meal to be of use was a child's chicken nugget meal. We got free deserts and discount for the mains. The grand total came to £32.05 which I shouldn't have given. We were all so looking forward to this meal and experience but instead ended up with a what can only be described as a shambles.

The desert was lovely but wasn't what I went into the hotel for at all. I can only say that I have been quite calm in this thread and hope that no one else has this experience.

I shall not be recommending this establishment anytime soon. I'm sorry I went into the hotel and I'm sorry that I gave anything to the hotel ref money.

Unbelievable in what was a quiet time when we visited. Anyone wishing to ask please feel free to pm me.

User

Overpriced for what you get I paid £160 for a seaveiw room with a king size bed and a cot for the child on Easter Sunday I received a filthy room (222) at the top of the stairs instead. With a double bed a single bed and a cot and the red pillows used as decor smelt of pure fust . Carpet was grubby which was tattered and had paint on it in the corner. The table needed cleaned when we where came in as it was sticky. There was dust on the window sill that the child ended up covered in. And the apparent sea view was the corner of a building and had to break our necks to the left to see the sea. . Then the shower not sure if it was meant to be some kind of hose thing or it was broke along with the filth around the taps . O and the single bed had some dirty brown mark on the sheets. So i moved it to the far corner of the room I would of asked to be moved but since the hotel was fully booked I was stuck with that. Only nice thing about the hotel was the friendly staff . Tho I would definitely invest on better cleaners and repairs and windowcleaners
