Went here for Christmas Day Lunch, and what a wonderful day it was.

Greeted by Manager, Steve Saunders, who is always so welcoming, along with his fab Staff.

Food, service and atmosphere excellent, could not fault it.

2nd time we have been here for Christmas Day Lunch, and can well recommend it

Myself & my partner recently visited Pub on the Pond, after Winning a 3 course meal, for Valentine's Day.

The staff there were attentive & lovely. The food was tasty, every course was generous & it was all served promptly.

This made our Valentines Day great!

My family of 17 came to the new years eve party. Fab child friendly enviroment. The entertainment was amazing. The magician was very patient with all the kids. The singer was amazing also and had us all up dancing, she again was fab with the kids. Steve the manager couldnt do enough for everybody. The only critism was supplying the party blowers lol my lot are still blowing them. Xx

Been two weeks in a row, San Miguel is beautiful, lovely atmosphere, dog friendly section, very nice staff and all really enjoyed our food, something for everyone

Beautiful pub, good service - ordered a rib eye steak, asked for it medium rare, however when it arrived it was well done. Told the waitress that I asked for medium rare, this was taking without hesitation, and about 10 minutes later a fresh plate of food was brought to me with a perfectly cooked steak. Waitress couldn’t apologise more. Great service.

1 hour and half wait yesterday for food and the woman wasn't happy she had to change my son ice cream because he didn't like chocolate sauce terrible service need more bloody staff with a smile

Went to pub on the pond 2 days ago. Ordered the bbq chicken melt which I can only describe as rubber not chicken. Ever since having that meal I have been sick for the last 2 days.

Went there on monday 09/07 and took a friend there as i said it was a nice location .

After paying £1.50 to park at approx 4.30 pm we walked in and our feet stuck to the carpet.

We went outside and it was even worse.

Food left on tables which had been there days.

Patio was covered in fag butts and needed to be swept , obviously from over weekend.

Girl behind bar was more interesed in talking to the chef than serving us.

Today’s food was shocking arrived at 6:30 and ordered food straight away. We sat outside because it was a lovely day and after waiting half an hour our STARTERS were still not out I went to see where they were and the man at the till said they were on they’re way. 10 minutes later they came out not in very big portions either. Then after waiting another 45 minutes after eating our stater our food still wasn’t here and I like last time I went to check where it was and my reply from the man at the till was nobody cleared your starters so the cooks didn’t know when to cook it. Is that my problem? No it’s yours! Then our food came out finally and it was in poor state my friends bread was stale and her chicken was cold! There was only 2 customers having food it’s was a Monday night and it was not busy!

Today(Thurs 7th June) and after a stroll down Mumbles we decided to pop into the Pub on the Pond for a cheap quick meal..having eaten there 15-20 times before we have always found it cheap and the food decent



Today unfortunately was up there with the worst food I think I have ever eaten



Steak & Ale Pie



The pie itself was heavily burnt on top and tasted chargrilled with a burnt taste inside the accompanying gravy dish was brownish water and possibly the wateriest gravy ever (0% taste)..the chips were tasteless and undercooked but the peas were..well if I was blindfolded and took the taste test I could honestly say it was like chewing hard rolled up paper mache..I could not tell if they were so undercooked or massively over cooked



Scampi



The scampi seamed ok but the accompanying chips and peas were again possibly the blandest tasting food I have ever put in my gob



Child’s Chicken strips



Again shocking standard of food



The guy who served us at the bar was polite and efficient(possibly the manager)



The guy who served us the food was polite and had great customer service skills



The person who was Cooking between 5-6pm today honestly should contemplate leaving the kitchen forever and find another job before the food police arrest them for crimes against cooking..honestly I can’t express how bad it was..yes I know it is cheap pub grub and for the prices you pay it is hard to moan but if your in a profession and serve shit like that..please find another job



I just hope the regular cook phoned in sick and Doris who cleans the toilets jumped in to help in the kitchen as if that standard keeps up the customer numbers will drop 40-60% very quickly

I was there the other week as I was visiting some extended family. The manager was extremely rude, the tables were dirty, and they messed our order up and to add to that they under cooked everything. That will be the last time I go there. Save your money and go to Yallops on the mumbles front. I wouldn't even give this a star but I had too.

I used to love this place! Came here on Monday bank holiday waited over an hour and half for our food! When we had our food it was disgusting! Child's meals were disgusting looked like they'd been cooked hours ago and warmed up my 12 year old.left it all staff were very rude. Couldn't even get a highchair for the baby. Food all over the floor and under our table that had been there from previous people it was still there when we left � I will not be returning

Given that it is a hot bank holiday, with multiple family events nearby, they are woefully under prepared. Two very long queues (20+minutes in each) and after waiting in the first to only be told it was the "drinks only" line, then after having to wait again to be told it was a 90 minute wait for food(!) - why we could not have been informed of this at the adjacent till before waiting again and having no form of signage to indicate the information.

We have instead opted to have some drinks before moving on to somewhere with better service.

No reciept was given either. Absolutely shoddy.

Food was that bad even the seagulls turned there noses up at it! Kids meals was stone cold fries with burnt sausages and pizza was a microwave one that was overdone - if a chef can’t event microwave a pizza properly then that should tell you everything you need to know! Third and last visit here - it’s been poor every time!!!

Food was luke warm at best. Waited 30 minutes for a kids pizza which is clearly a Chicago town mircro pizza. Then had to wait another 20 mins after asking twice for the child's ice cream. Family members had to send chicken back as it was cold. Will not be going there in a hurry again. Awful!!

What a disgusting place

I wlll never go there again as it has gone downhill in the 3 years since i went there.

Went there for meal with family. Eight of us all ordered same time and five meals were the same, two came out first then another 10/15 mins later some more came out, chicken had to go back twice as it was luke warm then my son's had to go back for the same reason, wont be going there again in a hurry to eat, service is poor and food is worse

Visited here about 2 weeks ago was absolutely terrible! dirty plates left on tables, was quiet and still had to wait over a hour and half for food which was rubbish when it came to the table would waste my money there on food again

Today’s food was shocking arrived at 6:30 and ordered food straight away. We sat outside because it was a lovely day and after waiting half an hour our STARTERS were still not out I went to see where they were and the man at the till said they were on they’re way. 10 minutes later they came out not in very big portions either. Then after waiting another 45 minutes after eating our stater our food still wasn’t here and I like last time I went to check where it was and my reply from the man at the till was nobody cleared your starters so the cooks didn’t know when to cook it. Is that my problem? No it’s yours! Then our food came out finally and it was in poor state my friends bread was stale and her chicken was cold! There was only 2 customers having food it’s was a Monday night and it was not busy!

Today(Thurs 7th June) and after a stroll down Mumbles we decided to pop into the Pub on the Pond for a cheap quick meal..having eaten there 15-20 times before we have always found it cheap and the food decent



Today unfortunately was up there with the worst food I think I have ever eaten



Steak & Ale Pie



The pie itself was heavily burnt on top and tasted chargrilled with a burnt taste inside the accompanying gravy dish was brownish water and possibly the wateriest gravy ever (0% taste)..the chips were tasteless and undercooked but the peas were..well if I was blindfolded and took the taste test I could honestly say it was like chewing hard rolled up paper mache..I could not tell if they were so undercooked or massively over cooked



Scampi



The scampi seamed ok but the accompanying chips and peas were again possibly the blandest tasting food I have ever put in my gob

The guy who served us at the bar was polite and efficient(possibly the manager)

The person who was Cooking between 5-6pm today honestly should contemplate leaving the kitchen forever and find another job before the food police arrest them for crimes against cooking..honestly I can’t express how bad it was..yes I know it is cheap pub grub and for the prices you pay it is hard to moan but if your in a profession and serve shit like that..please find another job



I just hope the regular cook phoned in sick and Doris who cleans the toilets jumped in to help in the kitchen as if that standard keeps up the customer numbers will drop 40-60% very quickly

I was there the other week as I was visiting some extended family. The manager was extremely rude, the tables were dirty, and they messed our order up and to add to that they under cooked everything. That will be the last time I go there. Save your money and go to Yallops on the mumbles front. I wouldn't even give this a star but I had too.

I used to love this place! Came here on Monday bank holiday waited over an hour and half for our food! When we had our food it was disgusting! Child's meals were disgusting looked like they'd been cooked hours ago and warmed up my 12 year old.left it all staff were very rude. Couldn't even get a highchair for the baby. Food all over the floor and under our table that had been there from previous people it was still there when we left � I will not be returning

Given that it is a hot bank holiday, with multiple family events nearby, they are woefully under prepared. Two very long queues (20+minutes in each) and after waiting in the first to only be told it was the "drinks only" line, then after having to wait again to be told it was a 90 minute wait for food(!) - why we could not have been informed of this at the adjacent till before waiting again and having no form of signage to indicate the information.

We have instead opted to have some drinks before moving on to somewhere with better service.

No reciept was given either. Absolutely shoddy.

Food was that bad even the seagulls turned there noses up at it! Kids meals was stone cold fries with burnt sausages and pizza was a microwave one that was overdone - if a chef can’t event microwave a pizza properly then that should tell you everything you need to know! Third and last visit here - it’s been poor every time!!!

Food was luke warm at best. Waited 30 minutes for a kids pizza which is clearly a Chicago town mircro pizza. Then had to wait another 20 mins after asking twice for the child's ice cream. Family members had to send chicken back as it was cold. Will not be going there in a hurry again. Awful!!
