This course is suitable for any one who has previously completed the beginners dressmaking with Jonquil. In this course you will make a garment over the 4 weeks which will include either pockets, collar, sleeves or zip which uses more advanced sewing methods. Patterns will need to be selected before the course starts from Quilting in the Meadows, where Debbie will give guidance on what's suitable. This course is ran by our very experienced tutor Jonquil Brookes, of whom we... are very lucky to have working along side us at Quilting in the Meadows. Jonquil has vast experience in the dressmaking buisness having been a London fashion designer, pattern cutter and tailor. This course is being held on a daytime and evening. Course costs just £50 for 4 weeks which will include hot drinks and biscuits too. Please let us know of any disability issues in regard to stairs incase we need to hold the class upstairs.

Wet felting pictures workshop with Kristen which will be held on Tuesday 23rd April, 10 till 3.30. Wet felting is created by using wool and silk fibres and combining them. There is pictures in an album on the main facebook page of a couple of examples of what you can create a choice of a seascape, landscape, sunset or jellyfish. Cost of workshop is £35 to include all materials, hot drinks/biscuits.

Hello all. We are thinking about the possibility of introducing a new group for PAPER-CRAFTING. The 1st Wednesday of each month during the daytime, term time only. The price will be inline with our other craft meets and will include hot drinks/biscuits. Please bring lunch. Welcome to use the microwave if needed.
Can you let me know on here or via the shop if you would be interested. This group will offer free use of the original circut machines which take cartridges (fair usa...ge policy applies), we will also have a big shot machine with some dies and embossing folders avaliable. You are welcome to bring your own machines too. Please bring own paper, card, scissors etc to use, this is not a teaching class. We will be selling some papercraft supplies. Proposed start date is the 1st May depending on the response. Please pass on the message to all your paper-craft friends.

discovered this fantastic little shop today. The fabric range is fantastic and the people who run it are lovely. Looking forward to going back with my friends and making a day out of it as I was with hubby at the time and he's not really in to fabric.

Wonderful class making sewing machine covers. I had lots of support from the ladies and great snacks thrown in. Will certainly be back �

Wether you want to learn about sewing ( there are numerous courses) buy beautiful fabrics or anything needed to sew or just want to join other friendly crafters for a fun evening, this is just the best place ! Lovely company and lots of coffee and delicious cake �

Went for the first time last night and loved it, can't wait to go back again next week, Everyone was so lovely and helpful.

Walked into this shop whilst on holiday, WOW was all i could say, what a vast arrange of fabrics etc to choose from, didnt know where to start, very friendly and helpful, cant wait to visit again.

Popped in today and bought some crepe material. What a lovely shop and owner. Can’t wait to visit again. Only downside is I’m too far away to join in for classes.

Perfect for all quilters. A great selection of top quality fabrics and friendly, knowledgeable advice. So happy to have found it.

Found this wonderful little shop today and it’s not going to be my only visit. A warm welcome accompanied by an invitation to join the classes and workshops surrounded by a huge range of sumptuous fabrics to play with. I think this is going to be my second home!
