The Nursery was started in 1977 by Chris Rowberry, growing and selling the plants from his house in the local village near Kidderminster. Then in 1989 the current site was purchased and Rowberry’s "The Growing Nursery" was created by Chris, his wife Maria and his sister-in-law Arna; three people with a passion for growing, not just pot plants but farmed plants, such as Wheat and Potatoes too.

We now farm over 300 acres, old fashioned mixed farming with pigs, cattle, laying hens and a couple of horses. We have a large area of glass houses and poly tunnels for growing bedding plants, shrubs, perennials, fuchsias by the 1000's and lots more.
