We're counting down to our Big Summer Weekend #RushmerePark this weekend 11-12 August. Make sure you've got your concert tickets and we look forward to seeing you (and your dog) at the Summer Fayre & Fun Dog Show on Sunday. http://ow.ly/NQ2x30ldBGr

Rushmere Dog Show update At the moment the weather for Sunday is looking perfect for our dog show. Should the temperature change to anything beyond 25 degrees, we would have to cancel. Assuming we do go ahead, we are a little concerned at the numbers that might turn up bearing in mind just about all local dog shows up to now have sadly been cancelled. Please note that class numbers are restricted to 40, so entrants will be on a first come first served. look forward to s...eeing you there. There will be further updates during the week. Don't forget your tickets for the Saturday concert before they sell out!

Wonderful place to walk around! We loved knocking on fairy doors, climbing trees and going on an adventure. We only skimmed the first wooded area but really enjoyed it! And a bargain at £3 a car! Defiantly take a picnic with you even tho there is a cafe but it gets really busy and like any country park it can be pricey.

Kids and adults will love walking around and even with lots of people about it doesn't feel packed.

User

What a fabulous place!!!!!!! Went today with my nieces and they absolutely loved it (so did me and my mum!!!) lovely quiet woods to walk around and explore and the fairy 'village' was brilliant!!!! The view over the heronery was spectacular and so relaxing after a nice long walk. The dog also enjoyed exploring and being free to be off lead for most of it was an added bonus. We will definitely be back!!!!!!!

User

We walk there almost every day with our dog. Loads of different trails to take so we never get bored. Just lovely to enjoy nature and the changing seasons in a beautiful, well kept location.

User

My doggie and I visit the park almost every Sunday and we love it. The foot-paths are great and clearly signed. I love that there are big woodland areas where dogs can go off the lead and we found that most of the dog owners are responsible ones :) some of the trees have been chopped now guess it's a regular maintenance. Would be lovely if you could use some of those logs to maybe build few jumping logs here and there for the doggies :) just an idea really :)

User

Lovely park in convenient location (edge of Leighton Buzzard). £3 to park all day, lots of space, convenient parking, toilets, cafe and play area. We will return!

User

Lovely forest, my children loved the enchanted tales, goblins & fairy doors. Great facilities and helpful staff. Perfect for a family picnic. We had a lovely family day and made some great memories with our children thank you : )

User

It is a lovely place. Lots of trees for the kids to climb and sometime between February and March you will be able to see Grey Herons nesting in the trees from the Cafe veranda.

User

It is a beautiful space, it's a shame about the level of litter though.

User

I took my 2yo to Rushmere for the 1st time yesterday & we loved it. The cafe is great. We had delicious cake on the deck looking out at a beautiful view and later on a tasty baguette to take away which was stuffed full of filling. The cafe lady was very friendly and helpful.

The park itself was lovely - fairy doors, giant chairs, wood carvings... so much to keep kids entertained. My daughter loved the little play park at the cafe and it was fully enclosed which meant I could relax knowing she was safe. Only £3 to park all day - bargain! Will definitely visit again!

User

Fantastic place my favorite place so much to do & see you can just can do lost in it all 😊

User

An absolute gem . Great for all year round and I'm definitely going to be there a lot. So many paths to explore. My coffee was lovey and it was even better drinking it over that gorgeous and peaceful balcony view. Paying

£3(current price) only for the parking it totally worth it for what you get.

User

Went for the first time yesterday (sat 2nd) didn't have a good start as we were getting our things out the car 2 ladies walked by us and between them had 5 dogs 3 of which were not on a leash our dog was on a leash and got very agitated and difficult to calm especially as one dog tried getting in our car but must admit after the unfortunate episode we had a most enjoyable couple of hrs

User

Lovely afternoon out with the kids. The park is beautiful. I was however let down with the cafe. It was very expensive for what was being provided, £2.40 for an ice lolly and 50p for a miniature banana. Service wasn't great either, my friend had her cookie handed to her with a thumb on it!

Would return again but would not revisit the cafe

User

Great park but the cafe/restaurant is desperate!! Takes 20 minutes to get served and there's stupid rules about not being able to order takeaway coffee from the "restaurant". Shame as I've seen 3 people walk away who were trying to spend money. Been a few times and the cafe/facilities are always a shambles!!!

Not the kids who work there's fault.

100% Management issue!

User

We really love the footpaths, wooden carvings and fairy doors. I have absolutely no complaints about the outdoors at all however we ate at the cafe today and had another bad experience, this is the 3rd time now so we will not be eating here in the future. We ordered 2 baguettes and a child's meal, the baguettes came out 25 mins before my son's meal. By the time his meal arrived he was upset and we had finished our baguettes, it appears his order had been lost and when his meal finally arrived his chips were overcooked and hard which he didn't want to eat. The door also kept getting stuck half shut and it was freezing! Not particularly helpful staff who grunted at us when we asked twice where the child's meal was. If the cafe could be improved it would be the perfect day out but the food really was not worth the £30 we paid

User

Rushmere Park is fantastic fun place for the family. It is a great place to spend a day, loads to do! But just take your own food and drink as the catering facilities are a joke, the catering staff are very slow and also unhelpful, they do not know what customer service is!

If they could sort out their catering facilities it would be 5 stars. If you talk to regular users of the park, people always say how great the place is and how poor the Cafe is. Some will complain about the cost of the food or drink, I don't feel this is a problem if they could sort the service out!

User

Me and my friends came here yesterday with our children. We wanted to eat lunch outside but the wasps were everywhere you couldn't escape them ! We went into the cafe and ate lunch us adults bought a coffee as we were sure they would have told us to get out. We had a lovely day at the park the kids loved it we were having a nice day until ice cream time.

My friends children are allergic to egg and she has found some ice cream contains egg so she always checks the labels, when she asked the staff behind the counter if any of them had egg in they were so I helpful and said "I don't know you should go to the inside cafe they can tell you ". Off she went to qué up inside was given very vague information about the contents having egg and said "I think vanilla doesn't have egg but we don't have vanilla ice cream". So over half hour later and no ice cream for the kids it was terrible service !!

User

Lovely place and beautiful for a picnic. Lots to see and do! SLIDE very dangerous. A lot of children sliding down into the wood area at the bottom and hurting themselves. It's very steep! Service in both cafe areas were so slow and took almost an half an hour to get anywhere near the front and when we did the service was still very slow. Place overrun with WASPS!

User

First time here, the grounds, paths, sculptures were beautiful, outside we had an amazing time and the children loved exploring. However inside the cafe was shocking, no structure, we had to really struggle to get a suitable table, door kept coming open which made a cold breeze sweep through. Staff were no help at all, and asking for a basic drink became a challenge. Our food did not come out at the same time, so half our table was not able to eat. We came back towards end of the day after our walk for final drink, again our drinks were 15mins apart and some of the children’s ice-creams were forgotten. Really poor service from the cafe which let our overall day down. We may return but not going to spend our money in the cafe.
