Used a disabled trolley for my 4 year old with autism for the first time made life so much easier for us to enjoy shopping I stead of pushing a big pram an holding a basket. Only advice is wheels need some oil bit hard to steer but definitely coming back for a easier shop.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble. A shopping experience I enjoy no matter what I have gone in for.

Last Wednesday evening whilst shopping with my husband he became ill- he is a veteran and because of PTSD has seizures. One of these happened in store and I was very impressed with the quiet supportive manner of Carl. He stayed with us, helped me make him comfortable and trusted me when I told him I knew what to do and wouldn't need a first aider. Once my husband had recovered we were assisted further, our shopping was packed for us and we were helped to the car. Carl had also told me that although it would mean shopping early in the day that there is a period early in the morning when lighting is subdued and the store has less 'triggers ' which might cause a seizure.

We would like to say a big thank you to Carl (and I think Sharon ? sorry if I've got it wrong but you know who you are) for their care and support. Really well done

I don't usually write reviews and if I do they are usually bad ones. But I have just had a great experience in your store. I went in for white polo shirts for my sons school uniform as he desperately needed new ones (holes and stains on the rest) I was told the TU clothing store had been shut for a change around. I was very disappointed. However a lovely lady asked me what I needed and went to get me the polo shirts. She even went back when she realised the shirts were going to be too big. She came back with an age 7 and an even cheaper pack too! Bargain! Thank you so much to this woman!

Had everything we wanted except scotch bonnet chillies. A very helpful man who was filling that area went to see if their were any in warehouse. Came back to tell us their were out of stock but back in store Tuesday.

We'll done that man.

Very chatty lady on checkout !

A very enjoyable shop.

We are regular shoppers here and on the whole are always pleased with the experience.

As others have said the service in the cafe is slow at the counter but we have always found the staff throughout the store to be friendly and helpful.

User

I have visited this store on a couple of occasions and found the staff realy friendly friendly and most helpful and great bargains to be had in the home and clothing area and handy to have Argos just upstairs

Dropped in for a Christmas Dinner at the restaurant. Very good and value for money. Quick service too given it was Boxing Day and very busy.

Downgraded it from 5 stars as supermarkets are not my favourite places but for that reason only.

User

A very good store, great fresh foods, clothing and home goods. The cafe is very good quality food, very clean and the cafe staff and store staff

are always very helpful polite and it makes shopping a enjoyable experience

Went first thing on a Sunday morning and many of shelves needed 're stocking. Also cooked breakfast not up to your usual excellent standard. Much of it was cold.

I have always favoured Sainsbury’s in Scarborough. Unfortunately, it has slowly been going downhill with both quality and what they stock. I spend well over £100 a week but as many lines I buy are disappearing I have now had to start shopping elsewhere! Very disappointing.

User

The staff are so so rude.. i spoke to a older member of staff called donna about a drink i bought ..she was do confrontational and seemed to be the ring leader of the other people with resting bitch face......

Why when I pay 40p for bags on my online shop do i get the thin "use once" bags and not the thicker 5p bags I get when i shop in store?

I did ask online customer services, but they said all bags are the same. Really?

Anyone else experienced this problem?

Taking advantage of the hardworking folk of this ztown by charging 10p more on a litre of the same fuel as stores in York.

Shame on you!

Sainsburys in Scarborough mirrors the rest of the Scarborough shopping experience - extremely poor! Browsing through the Sainsburys online store and looking through the range in the Scarboorough store is a lesson in how badly stocked the Scarborough store really is. On the online shopping site you will find items which are never stocked in the Scarborough store, or used to be stocked in the Scarborough store but are no longer available in this pathetic town. Why can I no longer buy Aquafresh toothpaste in your store? Why can I no longer buy Typhoo Tea in your store? Why can I no longer buy Seabrook crisps in your store? Why can I no longer buy Birds Eye Sweetcorn in your store? Why are the vast majority of Higgidy pies and quiches (which are advertised in your online store) not available in Scarborough? Why is venison not available in your Scarborough store?

Sainsbury's produce has gone right down the pan lately. We have had pre packed apples that are rotten, Caulies that are full of green mould in the middle and now today a huge bag of spuds bought yesterday which are mostly soft and rubbery. All were in date and we paid full price. You need to rethink your sell by / use by dates.

Just used the car wash at Sainsburys. Poor was, didn't even wash the soap off properly, windscreen and rear windows still dirty. Absolute waste of money. Operator said its ok engineers told him that's how it should be, what absolute rubbish, on rinse hardly any water came out and not powerful enough to was dirty soap off, then blower came over and because there was soap still on left streaks on windscreen and all windows. Disappointed to say the least and will not use their car wash again.

I often shop in Sainsburys and have a coffee/meal in their café. Today I've received a fine for £70 as I apparently stayed 15 mins over the parking time. I understand that signs state that this will happen but to get fined for buying their food using and paying for their facilities on reflection seems a bit harsh. Will think twice about shopping there again
