How many kids get a " wee treat " like this until the dinners ready ??
Would you hand them a Big mac and say snack on this , your dinner will be an hour ??
... Adults eat plenty of these too of course 😉
Reality is the Big Mac still has over 100 kcals less !!

What are you capable of ?

Chances are you really don't ...
... I told myself for YEARS that I'd always be FAT and did a good job of proving myself right !
Then I lost 7 stone and and it all changed ...
All of a sudden I BELIEVED I was worth more.
Then I got told I could never see abs or compete ...
The old me would have taken that as a sign it was time to stop ...
But ...
The NEW ME had different ideas and even though there was a chance these people were correct I had enough self belief to give it my ABSOLUTE BEST SHOT !

I know how that feels, trust me ...
But I also know now that no matter what anyone says ( voices in my own head included ) if I want something badly enough I can make it happen.

How many times have you pardoned a lack of progress because you " got caught out " or just had to " grab something " ...
These situations will always occur but shouldn't ever be an excuse for a free for all if you're serious about changing your body !
Better options thankfully DO EXIST .....

Yep it's true .... Sorry !!!
I've done it . We convince ourselves that the big bar is such good value and sure we'll have 2 squares and put it away ...
And the whole bars gone 😩
... Easily done but do we think of the consequences or just conclude that it's only a bar of chocolate .... no stigma there .
Tell everyone you sat down to 3 x Cheeseburgers in front of the soaps and gauge the reaction !!!
BUT yet they'd have actually slightly less calories .
If certain foods are your NEMESIS be careful you aren't setting yourself up for that inevitable fail ..... AGAIN 😉

SORRY I'M NOT THE RIGHT COACH FOR YOU ...
➡️ If you want to " say you have me as your coach" but aren't prepared to do the work that I expect.
➡️ If you want to carry on doing as you've always done whilst expecting a different outcome
... ➡️ If you want me to tell you the lies you LIKE to hear instead of the truth you NEED to hear.
➡️ If you think paying me means I put up with your crap.
➡️ If you LOVE playing the " poor me" card every time something doesn't go your way.
Maybe sounds harsh BUT it's the very reasons my SUCCESSFUL clients do come to me 😁
They want honesty, integrity and my knowledge.
Thing is when they take that on board they get every ounce of support ( good days and bad ) I can give them .... 7 days a week.
I won't take your money and watch you not get results .... Something isn't working and it's not me 😉
I won't let you think you're BUILDING MUSCLE when you're really getting FAT just so you don't sack me lol 😂
You get the truth whether that clears the room or fills it .....

HEALTHY FOOD calories count too ....
As usual I try to base these comparisons on traps clients have fallen into .
An innocent packet of dates that one was " snacking on " in the course of a day wasn't so innocent after all .
... Dried fruit is another example of perception and reality can be 2 very different things. Yes they're healthy BUT they are seriously CALORIE DENSE and for many far too easily OVER-EATEN 😉

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE ....
WANT IT badly enough and it can happen.
I was in a position where I'd clients coming at me from every direction wanting a tatse of the RESULTS I was becoming renowned for ...
... BUT my facility was pulled from beneath my feet and I had a 4 week clock ticking above my head to having nowhere to train them !!
Add to that I was going through the divorce from hell, being deprived time with my children and having my family turn their back on me ..
Every penny I had was going on legal bills to fight for my basic rights as a father ..
I was working 14 to 16 hour days and I was there 7 days a week ..
I had less equipment than most would have at home ..
I was keeping by own training and nutrition in check ..
More tears shed than I care to remember ..
BUT my clients were still getting LIFE CHANGING RESULTS !!
I had a vision of how I wanted things to be and I believed 100% I could make that happen too.
I did without food and slept on the floor of my shop BUT not once did I give up on the promise I made myself that day at 21 stone that I'd never go back.
STOP assuming everyone who's changed their life had it EASIER THAN YOU !!
It's my experience that in most cases ,,,, we didn't 😉
DON'T ask why they made it and you didn't ??
ASK why you didn't want it badly enough ??

" Just a HEALTHY snack " ...
Nothing wrong with a healthy snack for sure BUT at what cost if you're trying to drop some body fat .
Add to this that something like Trail Mix is very much a food thats easy to over consume and you can see the danger in terms of your results .
... There's an alternative here which would still give you a snack BUT save you almost 400 CALORIES !!! Thats a meal !!! . Both can be classified as HEALTHY but one is much more likely to keep you on track than the other . . 2800 CALORIES saved over the course of a week is HIGHLY LIKELY to see you make inroads on your weight . That has to be good news AND you haven't even changed anything else .
Smart Swapping just 1 snack 😉
Let's all get towards our weight loss goals as easily as possible .... keep it simple .

... Just found out last week the Clot is still there, another vein is damaged , second operation required in 2 weeks time ....
BUT ....
It doesn't have to stop me and it won't !!
Some things are beyond our control ...
The things that are within my control on the other hand will be CRUSHED 💪💪💪

PERCEPTION versus REALITY ...
" I don't understand why I can't lose weight . I even eat granola for breakfast and it's so healthy "
I hear this A LOT !!
... A food such as granola thats PERCEIVED healthy and is also EXCEPTIONALLY EASY TO OVER EAT can be dangerous .
YES you can eat granola and drop weight . Absolutely you can BUT don't be eating this and thinking it's HEALTH FOOD STATUS will melt fat off you .... it won't .
In fact ... be too generous with your portion AND be dipping into the box for extra sneaky handfuls during the day and you'll see the opposite happen . WEIGHT GAIN .
We really need to think about what we're eating and take the marketing with a pinch of salt .
If your breakfast tastes like a dessert there's a strong chance it's adding a serious dose of calories to your daily total 😉

" WHEN YOU'RE JUST TOO GREEDY FOR A NORMAL BAG ,,,,, BAG "
... But that's the reality !
We're not SHARING these either . We're scoffing the lot .
SUPERSIZING everything is coming at a price though ...
It's SUPERSIZING the problems we face as a nation .
Hopefully visualisations like this help to influence those choices . No one wants to think of themselves as GREEDY .... but if you are then it can be changed 😉
