We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have. #scotchhorn #worldgratitudeday

The new equipment is brilliant in both the cardiovascular and the free weights gym, very good layout and the guys have done an excellent job putting it together and creating enough room so that each piece of equipment has enough space to work on without interfering with other machines.

User

I tried a sculpt class with Mike on Thursday evening , i was made to feel very welcome and the class was fab I realy enjoyed it will defiantly come again . I was expecting to ache today but obviously didn't work hard enough so next time I'll need to up my game

User

Very good dance floor with clean facilitates, free car park and friendly staff

User

I have been using the gym, cafe & free weights facilities on & off when I'm in the area. For me the main bonus are the very friendly and approachable staff while for anyone who has a good repertoire of resistance/bodyweight exercises there is all you need in the way of weights, pull up bars, mats, and machines. I'm not a static bike or treadmill fan as I prefer to run outdoors but If you need them they do all you really need despite being a bit old. For me as a very active 60 year old the price for a single session is really good value too. I think the atmosphere is positive and friendly while people let you get on with what you are doing. The showers are now just fine. My only suggestion would be to move the coatpegs out of the way of the mats & enforce the no bags rule!

User

The sports facilities are getting a bit dated now and the catering seems to be treated as a necessary evil rather than adding to the community environment. With plans to move Nailsea Library into the address maybe there is an end life air to the existing venue.

User

I play Netball on a Friday but it's a shame there's no outside courts as it gets v hot in the summer

User

We’ve been members since the Kinetica days when our kids were young, now all grown up & paying adult memberships now, far more than the family membership costs so how come we don’t get the 10% off in the cafe as do family members?

It should be ALL members get 10% off!! This is Discriminatory to everyone else.

User

Longstanding lack of action from Scotch Horn regarding the non existent hot showers. 8 weeks they've be out of use and despite a new pump they're still not working.

It's shambles and a disgrace to have a sports centre with no hot showers. Disgraceful.

The centre is run down and shabby with second/ third hand equipment that regularly breaks down and takes weeks to repair.

Parkwood Leisure have recently spent millions upgrading Hutton Moor leisure centre but won't spent anything to fix the showers at Scotch Horn.

Many of us users have paid the subscription annually so Parkwood have our money already so we have no recourse unfortunately.

User

This is probably an unfair review on the staff at Scotch Horn as I know this has nothing to do with them. However I attended a karate training session which lasted just over 2 hours and received a £70 parking ticket for the privilege! I'm not likely to be supporting Scotch Horn in the future as I wont be able to afford it!!!
