Usually meet our Grandaughter here every 6 week’s or so for lunch.

I've booked the slug for a few large group bookings now and the food is always very reasonable, of a good standard and the pub has whole areas you can hire for free unlike other venues. Adam the events coordinator is very friendly and accommodating. Great for birthdays, christenings and Xmas parties!

I use this bar quite frequently and always have a good night out here, but i had my sisters baby shower here last weekend and i couldn’t fault it, we had our own section allocated, the staff were very helpful and the food i’d ordered was spot on, really good quality and nothing really went to waste, very good value for money and we had the area most of the afternoon, would deffo recommend! Thank you

I bought my young daughter's for a meal yesterday. 1st time for them , wanted to show them where I sometimes go on a weekend and what a nice place it is . They loved the decor , were absolutely blown away with the toilets lol . All the staff are always polite....granted it can be very busy so not always beaming With sunshine smiles but pleasant none the less.

Food was good , we all enjoyed ourselves.

I all ways have a good nite have to wait awhile to get served but apart from that the staff are ok there one girl who works there and she really friendly

Hi had a fab night on Saturday in the slug in harborne, food and drinks were supper.

Also I'd like to say a big thank you to the bouncers, we had a disabled lady in our group ,and they went on and beyond, so she could get to the toilets ,as it gets very packed ,and even waited for her and helped her back to her seat.

So a big thank you to all the staff.xx

Had a lovely afternoon & evening in the beer garden yesterday! Fab 2-4-1 cocktails and 50% off our food! Brilliant service, especially Lucy who was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy!

Fab night out for our Christmas party last night. This was our 2nd year of christmas partying at the Slug and lettuce and I must say Adam and his team surpassed last year's party (which was also fab) and did an amazing job from start to finish, making sure we had a great night again. The seating area we requested was perfect and the attention to detail in the decorations was fabulous. Our buffet was lovely, plenty of choice and more than enough for everyone. All of our staff commented on how good the venue, the food and the atmosphere was and we'll definitely be returning for our next staff night out.

It beats a sit down meal in a packed restaurant any day!

Went there for a night out with friends .. very load!!! Food was lovely 😊!! Not a place I would go to for a quiet night out .. more of a club atmosphere . Staff where very pleasant and catered to our every need but seemed to be very busy and rushed of their feet .

Went for cocktails and a night out last with some friends. When in the queue the two members of staff on the door spoke to a man who was also queuing that that his friend wouldn’t be able to come in because “he was in a wheelchair and it’s too busy”- this is absolutely disgusting. Regardless of how busy the place may have been, putting the reasoning for him not being allowed in, on his disability IS WRONG. Then stating “he will need to get to the toilet and it’s too busy for that”, is this his fault? No. Neither of the members of staff went and explained this to the man in the wheelchair they merely spoke to his friend about him and spoke about him with such a lack of respect. The way it was handled was absolutely disgusting. The staff on the door then decided to say that they were “too drunk” to enter when they clearly weren’t and this was just an excuse.

You should not refuse entry to anyone in a wheelchair let alone then try and accuse them both of being too drunk when they clearly weren’t.

Went for a meal for Mother's Day today. We were put in a corner and felt completely ignored by staff. We were left waiting for ages for someone to come and take our food order and had to ask to be served in the end. When a waitress did arrive, she had a face like thunder whilst she wrote down our food order. When the food arrived, a ciabatta sandwich was missing and we were left waiting for the chef to send it out. I ordered the quinoa and avocado salad. It had no quinoa or avocado in it and I wasn't given an explanation as to why it was completely different to what was on the menu. It was impossible to get the attention of staff so we went straight to the bar to settle the bill. We paid it and left just to get out as quickly as we could. Once we got home, we had a look at the bill to find that we had been overcharged £6.70 on two meals off the kids menu. We were told that each meal comes with a drink included in the £4.99 price tag. We also found that an extra £1 was added to each child's meal for a pot of veg sticks - something we didn't ask for or asked if we wanted!



Absolutely shocking service and most definitely will not be returning to this branch again. The only thing saving my review from being 1 star is the friendly man behind the bar. Everyone else needs a refresher course of customer service and basic maths.

Was out celebrating my 50th Birthday last night. I have no complaints about our waitress as she was lovely. Come 8pm the music was turned up so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves speak. We had people crowding all around us dancing and taking over our seating with their coats whilst trying to eat our meal. All In all it made for an unpleasant celebration. Only for the fact I have amazing friends did I stay to finish the meal. Will definitely not be making any Saturday evening bookings for food again

Booked for a small hen party of 6 people. Food delicious and very accommodating being gluten free, waitress lovely and very polite, decorating the table for us was also a great touch. However, so understaffed it was ridiculous! One of our party decided she wanted chips as a side when our food was delivered, we were told no and no drinks service to the table after placing our food order because they were too busy. We stood at the bar waiting to be served for over 30 mins each, gave up in the end and decided to bring the party home. This is a once a year weekend, the one before Christmas when everyone wants to be out so a lack of staff is very poor. Extremely pissed off at the impression this has left with my Australian sister in law to be in her first ever visit to the UK. Lesson learnt.

Terrible service, bar staff who don’t have a clue and rude, the only saving grace is decent music.

Ordered steak and chips. Meal sent back as chips and onion rings were lukewarm. By the time I received another ‘fresh batch ‘ my partner had finished his meal, chips were still lukewarm and steak tasted like an old leather boot, not even my steak knife would cut through it.

Second time I’ve had a steak meal there, both times I’ve had to send the meal back, the first time I ordered a rare steak and got a medium/well done steak.

Will not be returning for a third meal!

It was disgusting food , never going there again I wouldn’t feed my dog what they put on a plate and called it food
