Critchill Court was another one of our homes that decided to take part in International Carrot Day.
The residents had such a giggle as they used the orange vegetable to make dolls. Each doll had their own name and personality, we even had twin baby carrots. 🥕🥕

On 4th April every year, groups gather together to celebrate the orange vegetable.
Sunnymeade decided that it sounded like a lot of fun and arranged a whole day of activities from making carrot jewellery, carrot arts and crafts and decorating carrot biscuits.

We are delighted to announce that Portcullis House has been awarded a 'Good' rating in their recent CQC inspection.
The Langport care home was praised in the inspection report for having a 'warm and caring atmosphere'. The report included lovely quotes from residents at the home, such as: "It's nice and homely. I feel at home here." and "It's very nice for a home, the staff are very friendly. They support my efforts at independence."
This fantastic news means that all 32 of... our registered services have achieved a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' rating! 🌟

Spring is in the air at Moorhaven.
Recent sunny spells have put everyone in the mood for spring at the Taunton care home.
Residents at the home were delighted with their generous donation of flowers from a local store. The pretty colours and fresh scents were in full force as the residents set to work making pretty arrangements to display around the home. The activity prompted lots of conversations and reminiscence between the residents and staff as they talked about their ...favourite flowers and shared gardening stories.

Across our services, we held lots of different Mother's Day celebrations to ensure that everyone was included. From family gatherings, crafts, flowers and afternoon tea, there was something for everyone to enjoy. 💐

Mother's Day can often be a time of reflection for the residents in our care homes, as they remember their mothers who have passed. Residents at Moorhaven and Critchill Court wanted to remember their mothers in a different way and decided to use their creative skills.
Residents at Moorhaven in Taunton made and decorated cards, with poems and messages.
Critchill Court residents made colourful butterflies to display around the home, each personalised and unique.

A huge happy birthday wish to Ted at Frith House who recently turned 103 years old! 🎈
Born officially as Edward, Ted arrived in the world in 1916 and has lived through some incredible moments in history.
Ted celebrated at the Burnham-on-Sea care home surrounded by his friends and family.

Here's some great photographs from the last couple of Moosical sessions at Burnworthy House in South Petherton.
The regular intergenerational sessions include singing, dancing, musical instruments and props, and are enjoyed by all ages.
The residents get such joy from watching the children play and hearing them share stories and laugh together. Staff at the home loved seeing residents, Claire and Bob get fully involved in the 'baby shark' song and dance! 🦈

The smell of salty sea air, sand between your toes or the taste of ice cream? What would you say reminds you the most of trips to the seaside?
For Field House residents it was the sounds and excitement of the amusements. Residents at the Shepton Mallet care home hopped aboard the Oomph Wellness bus and headed to the popular seaside resort of Burnham-on-Sea.
Armed with spare change, they headed straight to the arcade to see how lucky they would be.

It's been a busy week at our Petals Active Living Centre in Taunton.
The Centre supports people living with dementia and provides stimulating, engaging and social activities. As we start to see spring on the horizon, customers thought it would be best to dust off their gardening tools and get planting.
Gardening is not only a great activity to keep people active, but it's also great stimulation and really helps to trigger memories.

Quack, quack 🦆🐥 Residents at Wyndham House have been busy falling in love with their new additions.
On 11th March, the residents excitedly welcomed their new friends in the form of eggs. As the days went by, the residents (and staff) became more eager to meet the duckings.
When they hatched, the residents couldn't wait to have a cuddle with their new friends before they went off to their new home in Cornwall.
