Every member of staff was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble

We never tire of this lovely hotel and setting. We have stayed several times over the years. This time was the first time with our new doggie in tow and we couldn't have been made more welcome. Doggies are even allowed in part of the restaurant. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
We love coming here with our Labrador also well looked after and great location ... why go any where else .......thank you again for a great stay , great food and lovely staff �

This is a beautiful hotel set in a stunning location. Our stay was made perfect with the attentive and helpful staff. The menu and restaurant is just wonderful with mouthwatering choices. Our room was fabulous with views across the bay, with the hypnotic sound of the sea.

Stunning location BUT more importantly stunning food and the wine list superb!!!
Stopped here after a very long walk from hope Cove. We only had a drink the bar but received excellent service. As no taxis were running the concierge made two trips in the hotel land-rover so saved the day. Thank you xx
Stayed here for a long weekend for our 25th wedding anniversary and it was so special. Our room was gorgeous and looked over the beach and had complimentary l'octitaine products which were lovely. The staff were so attentive and the breakfasts were absolutely beautiful. Would love to stay there again!

SouthSands is our favourite holiday place. Amazing location, inspiring beach chic decor and fabulous food and drinks. A real discovery for new parents wanting a little luxury!
Six of us stayed for 3 nights as part of a New Year's Eve package.
It was perfect. I'd say the food was exceptional, I couldn't even nitpick. All of the staff were great, the location is great, The nye party was great, we had a great time. Thank you and well done to all.
Service was perfect, atmosphere was nice and food amazing. Thanks for Simon and head shef Alister! They know what they are doing. :)

Lovely , great place , staff we're nice and helpful . we enjoyed our stay here last week . Couldn't find fault of their food ( Beach side Restaurant ) . Rooms are so beautiful, modern and very clean . Definitely will recommend to our friends this place . A bit pricey but you pay for what you get .
Lost count of the number of times we have been to this lovely hotel. Back there yesterday for our wedding anniversary having held our wedding weekend there four years ago. The food we had for lunch yesterday was as high quality as the wedding breakfast four years ago. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, especially considering the various allergies our little ones have. Have never been disappointed by this hotel in the many years we have been visiting. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend.... gorgeous hotel, gorgeous rooms... but what makes the stay is the attentive staff. Really friendly and attentive. They really made the stay. I also have a food allergy and they couldn't have looked after me better - from special cereal, bread, sausages for breakfast to a fully customised evening meal menu every night. Can't rate this place enough

Despite the near constant rain, fabulous stay. Wonderful location, super room with beach view, professional and friendly staff and service, all informal but with a touch a class. Made my husband's 50th very special. Thank you.

A true gem. Contemporary classic and quality service. A credit to the owners, chefs, training staff and of course, the lovely people who meet, greet and care for your every need.
Proper good old fashioned English service usually reserved for those people who were born to expect it as standard. Well, now we can all share the experience alongside stunning hidden cove splendour of the South Devon coastline.
Thank you for your care, attention to detail and unique hospitality. See you again for our stay with you all.

A fab afternoon tea as a surprise from my husband for our anniversary. A beautiful view and lovely friendly staff. Thank you to the staff in the pink shirt you made our afternoon so special.
Right on the beach. Great food. Friendly staff. Only downside, had only partial sea view and lots of stairs if you are elderly like me. Request ground floor.
Just had the one nights stay, but it was lovely. Staff very friendly & helpful. Food delicious too. Right on the beach with lovely views. We definately go back again.
Fantastic staff on reception!! It's a beautiful hotel! Our room was stunning and the setting is incredible. Technically the hotel is dog friendly and with a small dog I'm sure it fine but with 2 large doodles the bar and restaurant is uncomfortable and very limited where you can sit. The a la carte menu is stunning but very limited. The bar menu is good but don't ask to add/change anything as the waitress advised that the chef wouldn't be happy!! On the up side our dogs were poorly whilst visiting and the breakfast chef made them scrambled egg for breakfast!! Thanks again for that...
The sandwiches were awful, I had. Cheese sandwich, which was minced between 2 massive chunks of bread, my brother had a crab sandwich dreadful hardly any crab again with 2 great. Hunks of bread , very expensive for what we had .:(
