Taunton Police have moved in to their new home at Deane House.
Cllr John Williams, Leader of Taunton Deane Borough Council, was there to welcome them on Monday (10th December). He said: “We are delighted that the police have now joined us in the building where together we can offer local people greater convenience by having multiple services under one roof in the heart of the community.”
The police enquiry desk at Deane House will be open from 8:30-4.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 9:30-4.30pm Wednesday.

Transformation Update
Taunton Deane Borough and West Somerset Council are making good progress with a radical modernisation to improve and streamline what they do and how they do it.

Christmas in Taunton

Please note if you’re planning to use the Paul Street car park that the two #lifts by the Library are currently out of action.
We hope to have them up and running again soon. Lifts in the Orchard Centre and at the rear of the multi story are still working.

The phone lines for Taunton Crematorium are still down at present. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. If your enquiry is urgent please call Customer Services on 01823 356356.

#Taunton Deane Borough Council will be closing Wood Street Car Park temporarily for essential re-lining work.
The works are due to take place on Wednesday 24 October. The car park will be closed all day. 🚙🚘🚗

Council supports Wellington Monument fund
Taunton Deane Borough Council is contributing £10,000 towards the restoration of the Wellington Monument which stands as a tribute to the Duke of Wellington and his victory at the Battle of Waterloo.

Street Wardens to patrol Town Centre
Street wardens have been deployed in Taunton town centre this week to provide reassurance for shoppers and visitors following concerns over rough sleeping and anti-social behaviour.
