We have just returned home from the Arrow after celebrating my Birthday & mothers day , I can not praise it enough the carvery was delicious , the service was excellent , thank you all so much

There's some bad reviews on here, but everyone deserves a second chance and atleast the new owners are making an effort! Had a meal here with friends before the quiz night, we all had the mixed grill, great value for money and very good quality meat considering the price, free drink with any grill was welcomed. Would recommend!

Highly recommend. Fantastic food and the staff were so friendly. Thank you Jody for the extra special service

Darren and his team did a wonderful job looking after us and providing a great spread for my mum's wake today. Thank you.

Amazing personal service from Bill and his team for a 30th birthday party... nothing was too much trouble, food was great and great function room where we could what we wanted. Highly recommended!

1st visit to the arrow, food was the best I've eaten in a long time... highly recommend. Only thing I would complain about is the loud music was like eating in a night club. X

I had a steak new yorker which was very lean and cooked as I asked...nothing left on my plate...so would recommend anyone to come try it out again! Beer was good....as always!�

Nothing special, food okay for the reasonable price. The few times we've been in, there's always been dirty glasses/plates etc on tables and hasn't been cleared for the duration we've been there. Would be nice if staff would raise a smile occasionally (although there is one young lad who is particularly pleasant). It's a shame to enter/exit you have to walk through a cloud of smoke as smokers stand in the doorway so the entrance smells! Staff should be asking people smoking to stand a meter or two from the doorway (which is still under cover) for the comfort of all.

Food finally arrived after an hour. I was missing a jug of gravy, the chips were burnt. My start and main came out the same time...🤔



I wasn't happy. This bad experience has put me off visiting again.

We only came in for a bite to eat for our daughter and a shared platter of cheesy chips but it took ages to get served and when it arrived my daughter's mashed potato had turned into waffles which she was very disappointed about and our cheesy chips were expensive for a very small portion and not all that tasty. Table was dirty and sticky but given how long it took to get served we didn't have time to ask for it to be cleaned or for the correct meal to be brought. Won't be returning in a hurry!

Big party but food came out very so slow and not in order and kids were last to the extent some people had finished there mains and the desserts were a total laugh 20 mins for some last one 1 hour wait .....spoilt a nice meal for daughters birthday.

Requested a high chair upon booking and it was COVERED in old dried on food. Never seen a highchair so filthy. Went and asked if it could be cleaned and was handed a spray bottle and a dirty cloth....

Food took ages, when it came out all the chips were nearly cold, asked for hot chips, all four came back separately and yes we're hot but so was the plates and other food was scorching as if it had been microwaved. We've been here a few times but been given a filthy high chair for my baby, expected to clean it myself with a dirty cloth and then having my meal microwaved was not worth the outing.

Came in with my grandad for a treat. Unfortunately most of the vegetarian options were spicy which is not an option for me. Grandad had the chicken and stuffing pie which was fine but it came with lumpy gravy obviously from a jar. I had a toastie which was ok but the salad that came with it was wilted beyond belief and the cucumber was so dry I would have thought it had been sat waiting to be used for days.

All in all it was a major let down (not for the first time) and we will not be back.

Band was 100% . Great night BUT Staff ok should come back to table to see if food ok as it wasn't Ordered hunters steak got hunters chicken. Waited so long didn't say anything as the band was about to start and we were starving.Medium rare steak that was Well Done and burnt at one end . Would I eat there again? Don't know they would have to buck their ideas up. If the band wasn't there I would have put 0stars. So if there is a band there great ... but don't count on the food

There's a Tesco next door so ask a member of staff to get some (although if you kept tabs on your stocks & planned ahead, this should not happen, unless the country is affected by snow!).

Terrible food, terrible service and staff seemed completely uninterested. The perfect place for the local yobs to gather it seems. More of sports bar than a family pub

Popped in for a drink on Sunday afternoon decided to get the kids some food my girl had the carvery the beef was tough the veg way over cooked Yorkshire puds burnt, my lad wanted the buttermilk chicken and garlic bread which they didn't have, give them there due they offered pop chicken instead which he enjoyed, then my kids wanted pudding that's when the fun started first of all it took 30 mins, my boy wanted chocolate indulgence sundae which had no chocolate ice cream in it or flakes it was just vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, my girl wanted chocolate brownie with custard she got chocolate velvet cake with ice cream, so I took it back to complain they said they would sort it out, but ten mins later a waiter came out and said they had no brownie,or custard so like why did you sell it to me, so me little girl ended up with vanilla ice cream with strawberry sauce, which may I add took a further 25 mins to come out by this time we where getting a bit fed up, all I can say great if you want a good pint crap if you want food. Be warned!!

There's some bad reviews on here, but everyone deserves a second chance and atleast the new owners are making an effort! Had a meal here with friends before the quiz night, we all had the mixed grill, great value for money and very good quality meat considering the price, free drink with any grill was welcomed. Would recommend!

Amazing personal service from Bill and his team for a 30th birthday party... nothing was too much trouble, food was great and great function room where we could what we wanted. Highly recommended!

1st visit to the arrow, food was the best I've eaten in a long time... highly recommend. Only thing I would complain about is the loud music was like eating in a night club. X

Popped in Friday evening for some food and a couple of beers with a mate.

New menu looked good....nice selection....reasonable prices too!

I had a steak new yorker which was very lean and cooked as I asked...nothing left on my plate...so would recommend anyone to come try it out again! Beer was good....as always!�

Nothing special, food okay for the reasonable price. The few times we've been in, there's always been dirty glasses/plates etc on tables and hasn't been cleared for the duration we've been there. Would be nice if staff would raise a smile occasionally (although there is one young lad who is particularly pleasant). It's a shame to enter/exit you have to walk through a cloud of smoke as smokers stand in the doorway so the entrance smells! Staff should be asking people smoking to stand a meter or two from the doorway (which is still under cover) for the comfort of all.

Food has gone down hill this last year, every time I bring my son we always have something to complain about, I mean who burns all four burgers when you've both asked for a double cheese burger and The carvery selection is not what it used to be. I only keep coming back in the hope that my faith is some what restored apart from that the bar staff are lovely and there's always a great atmosphere.

Went in yesterday with my husband and 2boys.

We ordered our food. Which then was taking ages to come out. 50mins later, still no food... we ask where it's to for a member of staff to say we've only got one chef in.





Lots of other people were going up and complaining.

Food finally arrived after an hour. I was missing a jug of gravy, the chips were burnt. My start and main came out the same time...🤔



I wasn't happy. This bad experience has put me off visiting again.

We only came in for a bite to eat for our daughter and a shared platter of cheesy chips but it took ages to get served and when it arrived my daughter's mashed potato had turned into waffles which she was very disappointed about and our cheesy chips were expensive for a very small portion and not all that tasty. Table was dirty and sticky but given how long it took to get served we didn't have time to ask for it to be cleaned or for the correct meal to be brought. Won't be returning in a hurry!

Very dissappointed. When I booked I was told there would or could be a wait for food. Big party but food came out very so slow and not in order and kids were last to the extent some people had finished there mains and the desserts were a total laugh 20 mins for some last one 1 hour wait .....spoilt a nice meal for daughters birthday.

Requested a high chair upon booking and it was COVERED in old dried on food. Never seen a highchair so filthy. Went and asked if it could be cleaned and was handed a spray bottle and a dirty cloth....

Food took ages, when it came out all the chips were nearly cold, asked for hot chips, all four came back separately and yes we're hot but so was the plates and other food was scorching as if it had been microwaved. We've been here a few times but been given a filthy high chair for my baby, expected to clean it myself with a dirty cloth and then having my meal microwaved was not worth the outing.

Came in with my grandad for a treat. Unfortunately most of the vegetarian options were spicy which is not an option for me. Grandad had the chicken and stuffing pie which was fine but it came with lumpy gravy obviously from a jar. I had a toastie which was ok but the salad that came with it was wilted beyond belief and the cucumber was so dry I would have thought it had been sat waiting to be used for days.

All in all it was a major let down (not for the first time) and we will not be back.

Band was 100% . Great night BUT Staff ok should come back to table to see if food ok as it wasn't Ordered hunters steak got hunters chicken. Waited so long didn't say anything as the band was about to start and we were starving.Medium rare steak that was Well Done and burnt at one end . Would I eat there again? Don't know they would have to buck their ideas up. If the band wasn't there I would have put 0stars. So if there is a band there great ... but don't count on the food

We came here last evening for a drink (Friday 3rd August). They had no merlot and no peanuts, either ready salted or dry roasted! Come on......get your act together. There's a Tesco next door so ask a member of staff to get some (although if you kept tabs on your stocks & planned ahead, this should not happen, unless the country is affected by snow!).

Terrible food, terrible service and staff seemed completely uninterested. The perfect place for the local yobs to gather it seems. More of sports bar than a family pub

Popped in for a drink on Sunday afternoon decided to get the kids some food my girl had the carvery the beef was tough the veg way over cooked Yorkshire puds burnt, my lad wanted the buttermilk chicken and garlic bread which they didn't have, give them there due they offered pop chicken instead which he enjoyed, then my kids wanted pudding that's when the fun started first of all it took 30 mins, my boy wanted chocolate indulgence sundae which had no chocolate ice cream in it or flakes it was just vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, my girl wanted chocolate brownie with custard she got chocolate velvet cake with ice cream, so I took it back to complain they said they would sort it out, but ten mins later a waiter came out and said they had no brownie,or custard so like why did you sell it to me, so me little girl ended up with vanilla ice cream with strawberry sauce, which may I add took a further 25 mins to come out by this time we where getting a bit fed up, all I can say great if you want a good pint crap if you want food. Be warned!!
