We stayed for 3 nights in Room No.1 which was very comfortable, clean and bright. Whilst there we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and the staff were exceptional in making our special day one to remember. A special thanks to the Manager, Chef and 'Aud' who took time out to help with dietary requirements and nothing was too much to make our stay really great. No hesitation in recommending this inn and hotel. The food was really good too.

We spent New Years Eve here ,had a meal and joined in some of the dancing . Very impressed with the staff and what a beautiful place to be in . Food excellent , will be back . ......we must try the Sunday lunch sometime .

We had an excellent lunch on relaunch day. There is a good choice of dishes on the menu making it difficult to know what to choose. I had a delicious bavette steak and my husband said that his beef pie was very good too. Téhéran staff are attentive and friendly. We look forward to our next visit to work our way through the menu.

We had a wonderful time yesterday at my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary lunch. You absolutely did them proud, and they and their 30 guests had a lovely lunch, with great food and service! Thank you...

We don’t venture out much but when we do I love my food ...

The ribeye was amazing, cooked to perfection and so tasty and with a classy glass of red it made my night pudding wasn’t bad either

User

Popped in for a pint on the Thursday opening night & then on Saturday for lunch. Food was great & staff very attentive.

Popped in after a long walk in Wytham woods on Sunday afternoon. This pub has recently re-opened having been taken over by Peach Pubs (The Fishes in Hinksey) We were welcomed by a friendly, smiling team, and the pub had a lovely buzz. We only wanted a quick drink, but having a look at the menu we found room for a pudding. Baked Alaska........ AMAZING! We'll definitely be coming back for a full meal. If you're in the area i'd definitely reccomended trying it for yourselves. Fantastic service. Thanks guys, see you soon

User

Lovely lunch had today all curtesy of the bear. Lovely choice of food. Staff were amazing, efficient and helpful. Would defiantly eat here again. Loved the crab on toast. Lovely decor very warm and friendly pub.

User

Lovely lunch at The Bear today. The staff were friendly & welcoming, the mains were lovely & the desserts delicious! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it & will be back soon

User

Fantastic lunch here Thursday 15th March, excellent food, top draw service. Highly recommend, we will be returning soon!

User

Fab family room with the den for the boys, the food was amazing and staff very friendly- worth every penny

User

Excellent meal at the Bear and Ragged Staff in Cumnor tonight. Lived up to my high expectations given that it's now part of the Peach Pubs chain who do such a great job at the Fleece in Witney. So lucky to have so many good pub restaurants near us.

User

Delicious food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Went for lunch with the family and would definitely recommend to others!

User

Amazing food and great service! Throughly recommend..

A lovely compromise between the old and new in this semi modern - olden cottage hotel. Stone bathroom furnishings with the classic wooden doors and oak style desks and bed work well together. A lot of planning put in terms of renovation over time. Attention to the little detail; good quality ground coffee, feather bedsheets, personalised sparkling and still waters from the company itself. Lovely furniture. Very welcoming. If you're looking for a break from the city this is the place. Keep in mind it's 3 miles from the city if you don't drive it can hurt you in the pocket (£30 by taxi although there are bus links) but it's a worthy price to pay! Our sleep was fantastic. Only thing we found odd was knocking in our room to tell us we had 5 minutes to leave.. Felt a little rushed. Food served and cooked at a professional standard. Breakfast included is a great deal. We stayed in the luxury king (6). One thing to improve is to perhaps consider a rug to cover the stain made over time from previous guests. Also an area with a lot of stains from the wall under the TV which may have been overlooked due to the portable mirror. Apart from that the room was immaculate. Thank you. (:

Normally when we stay a 5 every time, but this time we received a call to say we were flooding the cellar as the bath overflow goes into there, plus to be honest Room 3s bathroom could do with some TLC

User

Good evening spent over the years but this must now be the most expensive place to drink any where in Oxfordshire

User

115£ for B and B.No decaf coffee , artificial sweetener or biscuits in room.Fresh milk was promised on the website but not delivered....limited number of cartons instead.Breakfast not as ordered....poached eggs with smashed avocado on toast was scrambled eggs with chopped hard avocado with large chunks of raw chilli and raw onion.Explaination was new management.

User

Very disappointed! My starter was sad and tasteless (linguine wit hmushroom & rocket salad)

And my £23 stake was hard, and taste of nothing.

The cheese came with four crackers, we asked for some more and they brought another 3. ( £0.85 for a whole packet)

What a disappointing meal. 1/10

Good job the company was great.

One of the worst meal I have had for a long time. We paid £ 80 the restaurant spend 10 in the meal...poor!!
