Gin Tasting Evening at The Bull in Watton at Stone Wednesday 8th August at 7pm Date for your diaries... Calling all gin fans! This is the tasting for you! Gin has a long history, especially in London, and has been a sought after drinking for centuries. Fortunately, the days of 'Mother's ruin' and Hogarth’s Gin Lane are long gone, and in recent years the Gin scene has really developed to include whole range of different styles. There are now many micro-distilleries to be found..., producing small batch artisanal Gin alongside our tried and tested favourites. So if you’ve ever wondered what is the difference between the various styles and why, this is the evening for you! During the evening our Gin expert will try several different styles of Gin, discover how 'Genever' as it once was known came to be Gin as we know it now, discuss the different production methods, and how the different botanicals affect the overall flavour. We popped in for a quick lunch and had great food and great service as usual. A real bonus that it is open from 9.30am for breakfast too.
We in Watton at Stone I believe are so lucky to have this pub/restaurant in our village. The staff always polite and helpful. The food is deliciousness �
We had great service after our Nordic Walk from the girls serving us hot tea and coffee in front on the most amazing real fire. They also allowed our Stevenage Nordic Walking group to park there beforehand too. Excellent and will return to enjoy food and drinks too. Thank you. Mel and the Stevenage Nordic Walking group xx
We had a fantastic night on Saturday celebrating an early Christmas Party with friends. The food was excellant. Great portions and great service. Thank you for a fantastic experience!
Such a fantastic little pub! My new Saturday morning relaxation hideout - great food, superb service and VERY cosy!
Myself and my boyfriend held a joint birthday party in the pub garden. Fantastic space, staff couldn’t have been more helpful! We had lots of guests and everyone was accommodated. We hired a cocktail bar off the pub as well and one of the local villages band, everyone commented on our amazing the party was and how beautiful the pub was. Would definitely recommend The Bull to anyone looking to through a party or get together, whatever the size. Look forward to hiring the pub again sometime. Thanks to all the team at The Bull, we had an amazing birthday party!

Lovely dog friendly pub. Fantastic food and the drinks aren’t bad either! Friendly staff who couldn’t do enough for me when visiting for a special birthday lunch. Car park and a garden. What’s not to like?
Just had curry night, it was amazing! Fantastic, authentic food for a great price. Highly recommend the lamb rogan �. Roll on next month �

A fantastic sweet potato curry with sweet chilly & cherry tomato jam/chutney, extremely tasty fish and chips and impressive size and flavour burger... We were just passing through and decided to stop, but I think we will be back!
The best thing about the Bull, Watton was the service, the young staff were very efficient, polite and quick. The unusual thing was, as well as a wine list, there was a gin list with a fine selection of gins and gin cocktails. As for the food there was a fair selection and what I ate, Shrimp Gumbo, starter and Pork Chop, main course, which was locally sourced, was more than acceptable. Obviously a destination pub, rather than a local, was popular with young families.
My wife and myself taked a coffee and patisserie at the morning. At the lunch we came back and we taked a Burger and ribs. All of this was good ans the staff is very pleaseant. We have to come again at Watton at stone and i think we'll return at this place.
Had Sunday lunch there yesterday! Apart from the long wait (55 mins) for our dinner it was very nice! Would just have liked Mash with the roast....��And Rebecca our waitress was lovely too ��
Disappointed there was no food available not even a bowl of chips . Drink selection good and staff were friendly just a let down about the food !
Ok if you don't mind being surrounded by kids playing football or chain smoking beer chuggers. Better to eat inside in the summer months. Food is OK, good choice of wine and spirits. Outside pizza oven which offers something a little different.
