We went to the Butchers Block for the first time tonight and didn’t have a table booked and we were informed that they were fully booked. The waitress however managed to squeeze a booking in for us and could not have been more charming and accommodating. We had excellent, personable and professional service, accompanied by a wonderful environment and excellent food. Everybody was so friendly and we will defiantly be returning very soon. I think this will become our local - we really loved it! Thanks to all the staff and chef for a lovely first experience. Well done!

We have just had a wonderful Sunday lunch at the Butcher's Block! I went for the lamb and my husband had the beef. Both roasts were beautifully cooked and presented. The assortment of vegetables was out of the ordinary and the roast potatoes to die for! My creme brulee was delicious and the other Half's crumble disappeared very quickly. The atmosphere in the pub is very friendly and it's a real pleasure to spend time in there. We'll be back soon!

We ate lunch at The Butchers Block yesterday (Saturday) and had an amazing dining experience. After the relief of finding the resturant which is on a narrow lane and discovering an ample car park at the rear we found the place charming. The waitress (Joanna) was prompt and attentive on arrival, warm, friendly, knowledgeable and patient. My husband had honey, mustard and pancetta sausage starter and my step daughter and I had the garlic and chilli prawns all to die for! The fillet steak I chose was cooked perfectly (I am a heathen and like it med/well) I usually get med/rare and I struggle with that elsewhere. My husband and daughter had beef skewers and thoroughly enjoyed them. The completely glutenous deserts we chose were sublime too. Appropriately priced food and fine wines. A real dining treat and we have already recommended to friends and booked again for Sunday lunch!

Thanks for a great meal last night. Great to start the evening with a nice glass of Pimms! The food was excellent. Our first visit but definitely not our last.

The Christmas menu is a delight, I think between us we had a bit of everything on offer.

All plates returned to the pot wash virtually “ licked” clean!

The service, as always was perfect.

The range of wines to suit every taste and pocket made for an interesting tasting of each other’s bottles on the table.

All in all a very enjoyable evening.

My wife and I visited last night for our anniversary.

We were informed there would be a slight delay as they were a chef down.

We hardly noticed to be honest, the waiting staff were very attentive and kept any stresses in the kitchen.

The food was beautiful as was the wine and very extensive drinks menu!

We will definitely be spreading the word and returning!

My husband and I visited for the first time last night for our anniversary. After our visit I think it's safe to say we've found our new favourite place. My husband had an aubergine based appetiser as a starter and I had ham hock terrine - both of which were fabulous and left is very much looking forward to our main. My only suggestion for the ham hock terrine is that the black pudding croquette could have been a little bigger, just because it was so tasty. We both had fillet steak with triple cooked chips and vert pre - AMAZING, both steaks cooked to perfection and we'd go as far as to say that they were the best steaks we have had. We had also ordered the bacon and blue cheese stuffed mushroom, which I could have eaten all by itself as it was just delicious. After this we didn't have room for pudding, but knew we just had to have one so shared the Millionaires. Overall this has been our favourite meal out in a very long time. To top off the fabulous food our waitress Lauren was wonderful making the whole experience one to remember. We now look forward to our next visit �

Me and my partner came here last night the food was amazing �we have been to lots of steakhouses and restaurants and can honestley say by far was my favourite �they do all different gins aswell �will definitely be coming back xxxx

I finally made it to this dining gem. The food was fabulous, service was relaxed but attentive. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon relaxing with my little sis. Roast beef was delicious along with the very tasty dessert. Definitely highly recommended.

One Sunday roast lamb and four steaks, the meat was

was lovely and cooked to perfection.

Everything arrived piping hot and stayed hot 👍

Great service, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We went to the Butchers Block for the first time tonight and didn’t have a table booked and we were informed that they were fully booked. The waitress however managed to squeeze a booking in for us and could not have been more charming and accommodating. We had excellent, personable and professional service, accompanied by a wonderful environment and excellent food. Everybody was so friendly and we will defiantly be returning very soon. I think this will become our local - we really loved it! Thanks to all the staff and chef for a lovely first experience. Well done!

We have just had a wonderful Sunday lunch at the Butcher's Block! I went for the lamb and my husband had the beef. Both roasts were beautifully cooked and presented. The assortment of vegetables was out of the ordinary and the roast potatoes to die for! My creme brulee was delicious and the other Half's crumble disappeared very quickly. The atmosphere in the pub is very friendly and it's a real pleasure to spend time in there. We'll be back soon!

We had the most amazing anniversary meal last night, the steak was incredible and beautifully cooked. The staff were professional and very attentive! What a little Gem, we will most definitely return. Thank you Butchers Block xx

We came here today for a birthday/fathers day dinner for a party of eight. Service was brilliant staff are extremely attentive. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing, good quality food cooked to perfection. Would recommend to anyone :)

We ate lunch at The Butchers Block yesterday (Saturday) and had an amazing dining experience. After the relief of finding the resturant which is on a narrow lane and discovering an ample car park at the rear we found the place charming. The waitress (Joanna) was prompt and attentive on arrival, warm, friendly, knowledgeable and patient. My husband had honey, mustard and pancetta sausage starter and my step daughter and I had the garlic and chilli prawns all to die for! The fillet steak I chose was cooked perfectly (I am a heathen and like it med/well) I usually get med/rare and I struggle with that elsewhere. My husband and daughter had beef skewers and thoroughly enjoyed them. The completely glutenous deserts we chose were sublime too. Appropriately priced food and fine wines. A real dining treat and we have already recommended to friends and booked again for Sunday lunch!

The Christmas menu is a delight, I think between us we had a bit of everything on offer.

All plates returned to the pot wash virtually “ licked” clean!

The service, as always was perfect.

The range of wines to suit every taste and pocket made for an interesting tasting of each other’s bottles on the table.

All in all a very enjoyable evening.

Sunday lunch with family to celebrate my birthday. Very enjoyable afternoon, ambience of pub/restaurant was warm and welcoming as it was our first visit. Starters and main were excellent. Service was very good, couple of minor issues were rectified without fuss and professionally. Will definitely return, keep up the good work.

My wife and I visited last night for our anniversary.

We were informed there would be a slight delay as they were a chef down.

We hardly noticed to be honest, the waiting staff were very attentive and kept any stresses in the kitchen.

The food was beautiful as was the wine and very extensive drinks menu!

We will definitely be spreading the word and returning!

My husband and I visited for the first time last night for our anniversary. After our visit I think it's safe to say we've found our new favourite place. My husband had an aubergine based appetiser as a starter and I had ham hock terrine - both of which were fabulous and left is very much looking forward to our main. My only suggestion for the ham hock terrine is that the black pudding croquette could have been a little bigger, just because it was so tasty. We both had fillet steak with triple cooked chips and vert pre - AMAZING, both steaks cooked to perfection and we'd go as far as to say that they were the best steaks we have had. We had also ordered the bacon and blue cheese stuffed mushroom, which I could have eaten all by itself as it was just delicious. After this we didn't have room for pudding, but knew we just had to have one so shared the Millionaires. Overall this has been our favourite meal out in a very long time. To top off the fabulous food our waitress Lauren was wonderful making the whole experience one to remember. We now look forward to our next visit �

Me and my partner came here last night the food was amazing �we have been to lots of steakhouses and restaurants and can honestley say by far was my favourite �they do all different gins aswell �will definitely be coming back xxxx

I finally made it to this dining gem. The food was fabulous, service was relaxed but attentive. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon relaxing with my little sis. Roast beef was delicious along with the very tasty dessert. Definitely highly recommended.
