Wow what an excellent find! Places like this should be completely encouraged. Had the pleasure of eating there yesterday at the tapas evening. Not only was the food delicious and amazingly fresh, the staff were so friendly, explaining what each dish was and what had gone into it and generally interacting and making us feel very welcome . Well done guys!!! Can't wait to visit again next time we are in Shaldon

Went for afternoon tea and it was lovely, very well presented, tasty sandwiches and the best bit...yummy scones and brownies! Will definitely be back!

We love everything about this place its our fav coffee shop in Shaldon and on this years visit one of our daughters was newly dairy free which they had no problems going above and beyond to help out with what she could have and the choice of milks avaliable was great. Thanks guys keep up the good work and we look forward to seeing you next holiday your service and quality of product is top class!! :)

The cream tea was delicious with the sandwiches being made with locally produced and sourced ingredients. The scones were enormous and once again locally produced. The owner knew each person by name who made the cakes and scones and the breads were supplied by the local baker who had a shop a few doors up the road. Other posts have commented about the ambience of the place and we have to agree that it is a diamond. So if you are in Teignmouth get the passenger ferry across and treat yourself to a cream tea. It will be worth it!

The Coffee Rush is my daily must go to during my stays in Shaldon. There is always a friendly welcome and everything is beautifully presented and personalised. I never feel as if I am being hurried which is often the case when somewhere on your own. I've known the cafe and most of the staff for a while now and the friendship with which I am welcomed is special as we catch up. Thank you for not changing it too much. See you next time. The Coffee Rush is a little diamond in the beautiful seaside village of Shaldon. The atmosphere is cosy, with gentle ambient music in the background. There is also free wifi if you absolutely must do a bit of internet browsing! �

The coffee is a treat with a first in my opinion, the options of either soya milk or almond milk. � Others please take note! Also on offer is a a selection of scrumptious locally baked cakes or light bites including (when I recently visited) delicious home made soup. Mmmm...

Second trip here in a month and the food is very very good. Excellent fish and chips, steak perfectly cooked and beautiful pork chop. Plus best ever sticky toffee pudding �

I took my mum here for Mother’s Day and it was fantastic! The food was amazing and the portions were huge, the staff were lovely and it felt really homely! Will definitely be going back! Thank you! Xx

Had the pleasure of visiting the Coffee Rush with girlfriends on our mini break away. Wow! I would highly recommend it to all! I had a coffee, they had a hot chocolate. Beautifully furnished, clean throughout, amazing staff, service, prices, great ambience and love love love the background music!! Total Sunday chill out....Hipe to visit again especially as a wine bar in the evenings!!

Had a fab night. Was a last minute decision but don't regret it. The Tapas was something else, had six of the seven dishes between two of us and totally full up!



Beer was good too (as always) as was the service and atmosphere.



Always love visiting the Clifford...we'll be back again!

Get on down and hear The Live Jazz. This is an old haunt to some of hottest players that the Southwest has to offer. Tom Unwin on piano, Peter Canter on Saxophone to mention just two great players.

Excellent food - The guys were happy to talk as you watched them make your meal (& cocktails) and explain how they make it. Very popular on Tapas Nights - Only Friday & Saturday evenings/night. Very busy book to avoid disappointment. Cozy location excellent prices would travel out of my way to go back. Didn't go in during the day but always seemed busy every time we wandered pass...

Booked last minute,and so glad we did!! Four in our party and we all thoroughly enjoyed it!! Food was amazing,steaks cooked perfectly,staff were very good and helpful too!! Definitely recommend and will definitely go back!!! X

A really super place to chill, eat and drink right in the heart of Shaldon. Fabulous super friendly staff. Also an amazing garden to sit and catch some rays while relaxing with a coffee or even something stronger! Highly recommended!
