Introducing our new arrivals here at The Duck. Margo has done an amazing job of hatching six out of seven eggs. 🐣Ducklings born Thursday 5th July. She is proving to be a most fearsome mother and doing a wonderful job at raising the ducklings. 🐥Jerry and Tom however have had to be temporarily separated due to boisterous behaviour! 🦆

The sun shone over Stonehenge and Glastonbury Tor this morning as people celebrated the start of the Longest Day of the year. It's going to be a beautiful evening as well with sunset in Burtle not until 9.31pm tonight.

Went to 40th birthday and was very impressed. Food was great and as one of the party was a diabetic they provided starter extra quick. I would strongly recommend and look forward to going back.�

We where recommended by a fried we had no table booked but when we got there they fit us in very friendly staff lovely clean fresh country feel to the place fab views and the food outstanding best roast ever will go again 100%

We held a party for family and friends at The Duck. Lena made the whole process of booking and organizing so easy, and all of the staff on the night were absolutely amazing. A fantastic hog roast, friendly and efficient bar service, and just exactly the right balance between making sure we were happy and letting us get on with the party. Thank you to everyone!

The Duck were kind enough to offer their function room at the last minute for a carnival meeting, of which we were very grateful for. The room is beautifully decorated, the staff are very helpful. Would highly recommend this place for a function. Will definitely be visiting again but next time to try the food!

Came in today for a roast.. we both had lamb and it was delicious. Roast potatoes were the best I've ever had and the profiterole torte was amazing. We will definitely be visiting again .

Came in for a drink before a walk with our puppy yesterday and the food smelt and looked great so we managed to get a table for the afternoon after our walk despite not booking ahead. The team were very accommodating and squeezed us in. The food was amazing. My partner loved his Sunday roast and I had the musles in creamy sauce, simply divine. The staff made sure I had no gluten which was really appreciated because I have coeliacs so any gluten makes me really ill and many places don't take it seriously enough. We have been befor and have never been disappointed. We look forward to coming back :)

Our first time at the Duck but certainly won’t be our last .Lovely place oldie wordy but at the same time modern if that makes sense.Friendly staff, lovely food (only had a main as it was lunch time) . Not overly expensive for good well cooked tasty food. One of the best steaks I have had. Didn’t get the five stars until I have had starter and desserts lol. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Gorgeous country pub. Clean and modern, but still had character. Lovely venue for special occasions. Stopped by on our way through. Only 20 mins left until kitchen closed but they fitted us in, and were happy to do so. Had the Sunday roast, which came out looking beautiful. Proper home cooked food. Not bad prices, little bit on the expensive side. Only down side was the chocolate fudge cake we shared. You could tell it was shop brought and not homemade, which spoilt the rest of our feel of the place. The desert was quite expensive for shop brought. Think the chef should look at doing homemade desserts, so they could be on par with the rest of the food.
