We love this pub and what a fabulous place to stay too. The rooms are beautifully fitted out in a simple style with the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in. Gorgeous bed linen and huge fluffy bath sheets, Nespresso coffee machine, a lovely range of drinks and bottled water. Super powerful shower and piping hot water. The breakfasts are delicious too with plenty of choice and of course always served with a smile! Just a brilliant place to stay right in the centre of Salcombe. We’ll definitely be back.

Really fab pub something for everyone and so nice to have a place to stay with with my 4 legged friend! We felt very welcome and our room was great clean and modern will definitely be visiting again 👍

Overall absolutely no gripes, food was good, value for money spot on, Cider was spot on and the service was genuine.

My husband and I have stayed here 3 years running for our anniversary and love every time as much as the first! David and Jen are wonderful hosts and always make us feel right at home! Can’t wait to go back next year, thank you guys ��

I want to pick this wonderful pub up and move it to London! Great food, fab beer and the best staff...who really work together as a great team. ��

Great pub with good food but get there early in the season or you'll be waiting for a table. The second bar (The Slates) has live music, a pool table and you can go in wearing a soggy wetsuit :-)

Great place with a very warm welcome. Comfortable room in a fantastic location for exploring Salcombe. Food was amazing and staff lovely especially Matt.

Great food at the The fortesque would definitely recommend it. Suitable for children we eat here regularly when on holiday . The food is locally sourced. Generous portion sizes

Fabulous rooms, decor superb with lots of top quality touches. Nespresso machine, quality T bags, bed linen and towels.

Breakfast was delicious, again nice touches like Himalayan pink salt real butter and local bakery bread.

Will definitely stay again. Best thing about the place is it’s dog friendly too!.

Checked in at 8.00am to watch Lions v NZ - wonderful atmosphere alongside the best bacon and egg bap, delicious latte ad served by lovely waitress!! Had a first class meal the evening before - delicious!

After,spending ,7 weeks in Salcombe on Holiday we had a wonderful time at the Fortescue Inn, excellent food, great place to be, entertained by happy very friendly staff service was very prompt Many thanks to David, Ben, Luke, Emma, Jimmy, Darlene and Chef for a perfect steak. Best Pub in Salcombe ,Lets see some more AUSSIES making a visit.
