Just had fabulous meal at the Harbour Bar. Regulars to all the restaurants in the complex for many years, but my husband says it’s the best meal he has ever had in any of their restaurants (1/2 Roast Duck Sunday Special)! Great service and attention from the staff especially the wonderful Edele......and even better when Mum gets the royal treatment from Portrush’s infamous and eternally young Alan Simpson!!!! Thanks also to the legendary Willie Gregg who is always there to help and add to the brilliant experience that is ‘The Harbour’!!!!

User

I’ve been a chef for 25 years, this was one of the best restaurant experiences of my life !!! I could talk for an hour about this place but believe me if you’re in Portrush you must dine here.

User

Had a great wee night here last night with the family. After a gorgeous meal that was cooked to perfection. Still trying to get over at how reasonable the prices were . Have got to say for the young lads singing in the bar they did a great job. Such a great atmosphere in the bar. Lovely staff all round xx

User

Great craic and atmosphere and great people running it. Oooh and the beer is nice too. As Facebook won't allow me to give a second review I would just like to ad to this one. A couple of weeks ago I left my camera on one the the Guinness barrels outside the bar. I called back later but it hadn't been seen. The same evening it was handed in luckily. And kept in safe keeping by the brilliant Willie. He took it home for safe keeping until we returned to the Port. I can't thank him and the staff enough for their kindness. Anywhere else and my guess is the camera would have been gone but because of the clientele the Harbour Bar attracts this wasn't a worry. Thanks again guys and especially Willie. See you all in a couple of weeks

User

First visit for us last night. We had dinner in Neptune & Prawn, dessert at Ramore and finished the night of in the Harbour Bar. What a great wee pub love that it’s Dog friendly. Willie is an absolute legend fantastic craic and service. We will definitely be back

User

Fantastic atmosphere and we were made to feel totally welcome. Really enjoyed Jack’s singing, totally unexpected for a Tuesday night too. The barman was super friendly, nothing but praise for this gem of a pub. Cheers

User

Absolutely fantastic evening here Saturday night. The most FANTASTIC pint of Guinness. The fabulous Willie showed us the secrets to perfect pint as well as his collection of old Bushmill whiskeys! Fire was on which created an extremely cosy atmosphere. Great little pub.

User

A very good bar ! Drink top live top people top !

User

Good venue, entertainment and bar staff. The only thing that let it down was the ill mannered door staff on a power trip.

User

Terrible service

Waiting over 2 hours for a booked table and then when called was told it was not available.

When I questioned staff I was told a table wasn't available but then was shown a bench by an ignorant member of staff.

User

I am not one who normally writes reviews but for the second week running have been totally let down by Ramore Complex.

On arrival at Harbour Bar, we were told that there was a 1hr 45 minute wait on a table. As it was 7pm on a Saturday night, that was acceptable. However, 3hrs later we still hadn’t been called to our table!!!!! At 10.10pm we got called downstairs for our table but we were asked to stand at the bar because table wasn’t ready!!!!! Eventually, seated, we ordered drinks and food, 25 minutes later neither had appeared. At this point, we left our table and went over to the manager/ person who had taken our name for a table 4 hours earlier and said we were not waiting any longer, could we cancel our order. A simple ‘sorry’ was the only response.

Tired and hungry we walked to the closest restaurant, an Indian restaurant, service and food lovely and were in and out in 40 minutes. For a couple, like many, who have been going out for dinner to Ramore Complex on a Saturday night for a long time, think we need to consider other places in Portrush who actually value their customers.

User

For anyone thinking of dining in The Harbour Bar, Portrush Co. Antrim forget it. Went down for a meal tonite and got put at the end of a bench where the waiting staff bumped into us every time they passed. There was also a party of 7 at a table for 4 behind us. The waitress actually asked us if we wanted our bill as she lifted our plates!! She brought the bill and set it on the table. About 5 mins later she came back to us and asked with a look of confusion "do you want the sweet list or something?" as if to say why are you still here? 2 mins later another waitress arrived, looked at the bill and says "do you want me to take a card payment or what" at which stage we got up, left our drinks and left. If i want to eat in a cattle market, I'll go to a cattle market but I'll never be back through your door again. Its a shame that greed has taken over what used to be an enjoyable dining experience.
