Oh My! Friday's treat on the Magic Carpet tonight will be the most fabulous Soulfull dose of Music for your ears, rhythm for your feet and tonic for the week! New Gin Time again!
Perry's ToT Navy Strength Small Batch from New York USA
Came across this very punchy little gin from across the pond, and thought I should introduce it to the family. So here you are!
... It’s a non-fancy gin, traditional with slices of sweetness. It then hits you with a big juniper, citrus and grapefruit all at once, with a earthy orange finish.
Plenty of power with this tot at 57%ABV, but that’s the historical proof of gin from New York State, and is based on an early American recipe for making a version of “Holland gin” out of American rye whiskey.
It’s a real American muscle car of a gin and worthy of a try!
Cheers !

Well, I’ve been at it again - came across this little number and thought, I like Shiraz and love Gin, let’s see how the mixology of these two little beauties works?
A rare Dry Gin combined with Yarra Valley Shiraz Grapes. Taste wise, it shows fresh pine, citrus and spice, and distinct peppery tangy, with dense raspberries.
The palate is sweet with a long finishes with juniper and bags of character. Just like a New World Red
... Cheers one and all………..

What a find! Wide menu, great food, well kept beers... ...but mostly a very warm welcome and great service. The dogs give it a 5 bone review too. Thank you. Will be back, sooner than we ought to

Went there for my mum birthday treat, was greeted and show to our table. We had a starter and omg when it came out and was put in front of us presentation was just so perfect and the taste was delicious same goes for our meal and the chocolate brownie is just lush. Thank you we enjoyed everything from start to finish.

User

Went for lunch and finished up staying all afternoon, the food was superb and the staff were brilliant, nice and friendly and couldn't do enough for us,back on Thursday for pie night-can't wait

User

We were warmly welcomed, including Toby the dog, we were ushered to a good table. The menu was full of good pub grub with a twist. The list of ales was excellent, I ordered Hobgoblin a familiar ale, it had obviously been kept well. I chose to eat the rabbit faggots on a bed of Savoy cabbage with a timbale of mash peas and bacon with a cider his, Best meal for along time.

User

This is our second stay here and it certainly won’t be our last. Very basic bedroom and en suite showroom- no frills but extremely clean and comfortable. The food, glorious food! Breakfast exquisitely cooked and served and dinner last night was amazing. ALL staff, from the boss man down, are some of the nicest and most courteous people I’ve ever met. Nothing too much trouble for anyone. Already looking forward to our next stay.

Our favourite pub in Minehead. Wonderful hosts and staff, great food, great atmosphere and the most dog friendly pub ever. Great range of beers too for my Hubs!

Lunch out for Dad's birthday....a gorgeous warm welcome as always, happy, buzzing but relaxed atmosphere, and Janina you were right, that trio of sorbet was lush!!

User

Great menu, range of drinks with friendly, efficient service. Dog-friendly too. I had a lovely BBQ pulled pork brioche bun with homemade coleslaw and chips. Well recommended.

User

Fantastic pub lunch! Great sized portions, really tasty food and good to see some different options on the menu. Really friendly staff who were very welcoming to our two small children! Will definitely return!

User

Best pub in Minehead! Can’t express how welcoming and accommodating the staff are. Food is great, beer too, and a perfect host!

User

Very warm and friendly welcome by the staff, good ale, good food and adequately comfortable rooms

User

Lovely meal , well presented and good service . Initially we were seated by the bar in the restaurant but asked to be moved as it was very dark and a bit cramped . We asked to move tables and was moved over by the window which was much nicer.

User

A very friendly place the staff can’t do enough for you. Room comfy and clean tiny bathroom but ok and a good shower. Nice food (fish and chips) from the bar menu and unlike others if you have to leave before breakfast they pack one up for you and leave it by the door 😊. I would say this place is very good value for money I would stay here again
