We were a really large group consisting of fussy children and indecisive adults... all out for Sunday lunch! The staff were so friendly and accommodating and were able to meet all of our requests for ‘gravy on the side, extra Yorkshire puddings, custard with banoffee pie and moving completely to the garden for dessert!” The food was delicious and the surroundings were lovely. Plenty of room in the garden for the kids to let off steam while us adults relaxed in the autumn sun with our coffee. A really great experience all round :)

Very happy customers and we will be returning. It’s a gem!!!

The best pub for miles around. Friendly, enthusiastic staff who are welcoming and attentive. Great food and a good wine list.

User

Really friendly pub. Not only the food is extraodinary beautiful in taste, the presentation is very attractive and varies very often. Professonal of the restaurant business, both sides kitchen and front of the house. Worked in 3 start michelin and I'm not often pleased. The quality is really great in all the areas, service welcome, food humour and many more aspect...... This is the place to be....

Carry on the good work....

Passed through for a drink on our family holiday. Our ancestors are from the area, so it was lovely to have a drink in such a historic, cozy little place. Chris was so friendly and welcoming. Hope we can visit again some day!

Our daughter Natalie and her partner, Elliot, had their wedding reception at The Unicorn on 29th July 2017. We just wanted to thank Chris and the staff for making their day a very special one. Even though the weather challenged our marquis and the band later in the day, the staff delivered by keeping everyone dry without any interruption. Our wedding guests have all commented on the beauty of the venue, the convenience of the field next door (being open for parking and photos), the superb food quality and the excellent service. Thank You!

Lovely pub and great food. The staff very good. I would recommend it very highly. Will deffinately be going back. And to finnish our afternoon off we popped in to watch the cricket just round the corner.

User

Lovely meal yesterday, we both had the bake special , could have done with a big hit of chilli or garlic but the fish was lush nd we both enjoyed dinner, chocolate tart and tatin were a delight, highly recommended and will be back

User

Lovely Country pub. Just what an Aussie tourist was looking for. Meals were fantastic, beer garden was picture perfect and the friendliest staff you could hope for. And a very picturesque drive too.

User

Great food served by polite, friendly staff. Highly recommended. Thanks for a very welcome Sunday roast.

User

Food, beer and staff are great. A real homely feel to the place in general. I recommend the Sloe Gin Festival! If you hang around afterwards, there is usually a little left in the bottles to sample!

User

Amazing Valentine's Day dinner. Great price, food what you'd expect of a very good restaurant but not a pub and most lovely, professional and attentive staff ever. Best dining experience since Michelin holding Wild Rabbit. Fantastic effort. We'll definitely be coming back! Thank you!

User

A very nice pub. We popped in for lunch and were amazed by the quality of the food and value for money. It was surprisingly quiet for a pub with such exceptionally good food. Make it top of your list.

User

First visit and a very good Sunday lunch. Slight mix up with our booking, but found us in the end under a misspelled surname and it wasn't a problem as they could accommodate us anyway. Limited menu, but we very much enjoyed what we ate and drank and look forward to coming back again soon.

User

smelt of antiseptic no heating on freezing cold 1 other table and we were ignored for 20 minutes hence we checked out don’t bother like an old people’s home
