Great service again, I booked online for a table and within 2 min of arriving we were seated.

I'm very fussy with my steak and advised so.

Steak was bang on Med Rare as requested. Great taste, what was better it was a gift from Beefeater for my birthday. My partners food was really good also.

Staff great, and helpful.

User

Came here last night for a family meal and it was excellent! The service was fab 😊

User

Bit pricey for the kind of food but service was fantastic and the place was really clean and tidy

User

When we were shown to our seat it was directly behind the cash point. I asked to be seated somewhere else and it was as if I'd insulted the guys Grandmother!

Anyway. Seated where we wouldn't be bumped into, a very polite Gentleman took our order of rump steak and sirloin surf and turf..

Unfortunately both steaks were quite tough although the scallops, prawns and chips were very nice.

All in all £43 was very expensive for a below average meal.

I can honestly say I will not be going there again

We are staying in the premier inn and went for food last night in the Beefeater was served fairly quickly but my husband and I didn't like the chips looked like frozen chips had been cooked in old oil very crispy. And when we came down for breakfast on Saturday morning was waiting to be seated a while in the end we just went and sat down one of the staff seen us standing there but just ignore us. And a lot of bits of food and rubbish on the floor need to have someone keeping it clean when customers are coming in.

User

The service was very slow.

I had fish in beerbatter but the batter was soggy and not nice. Would not recommend to anyone

User

Lovely position and friendly staff but obviously not equipped for groups or busy periods. Booked dinner for 5 due to having young children but still a long time between courses and missing parts of our order-even when mentioned! Food was satisfactory

User

We've dined here a few times now for family treats/birthdays between 2016-2017 where the food & service has been reasonably good, even on busy nights. Tonight they didn't appear that busy and looked like they had adequate staff on but some waitresses/service was a bit slow, they didn't seem as attentive to customers needs/attention.

The contents/amount of food has changed and was pretty poor quality this time. I don't know if the kitchen staff have changed but the food was not freshly hot but warm like it had been sitting awhile or items appeared not freshly made to order (e.g. the french fries looked re-fried from stale or something, sausages from the kid's meal looked precooked/wrinkled from going cold, etc). I tried their minted lamb rump meal but the portion was so ridiculous (for £15), I ended up filling up on chips, the blandest mash potato & dauphinois and some items off my family's own meals!

Tonight's dinner service was quite disappointing, I'll be paying attention to the latest reviews before we visit again.

Food was basic...waited over and hour for food and it wasn't even busy..no veg meledy available but chef said he would make peas and green beans (shouldn't have bothered wrinkled up over cooked veg)...asked for more unlimited chips never got them! Asked the waiter what happened and just replied oh sorry about that (and that was that!)...garlic bread dry!..such a shame for a meal that cost £77 for 3 of us..what a shambles they don't seem to care there or be in a rush with serving!

User

Considering this looks a nice place to eat, and the prices suggest you can expect a decent meal, I can only suggest you go find a wetherspoons to eat in..at least you know what to expect and much cheaper too. Very poor standard of food this evening. Requested smothered chicken, turn out it's a bit of chicken with a cheese slice (and I couldn't even taste the cheese) and chips. Not impressed. Will not be eating here again. Very disappointed

User

What a joke this place is. A steak house that can't cook a steak......the manager was just running round like someone had stole his crown. The waiter we had was brilliant. Right now the food. The misses had a lamb shank.....it was a kids portion and the bowl was bigger than the food. Then the incompetence of a so called chief trained at the Stevie wonder school of cooking. I ordered my steak well done yes I know.....it turned up twice under cooked. The first time it turned up like an extra for Geordie shore....tanned and had a pulse....the second time it was showed the flame.....if you can't cook a steak get another job.... will not be going back.

Went to make a booking , was told didn t need one as we were only four people and it was a Monday. If we were coming between 6 and 6:30. Arrived at 6:15 , no one on the desk, eventually a man arrived , told me there was no room , I said I was told if I came early I didn t need a booking. No room , I said can I see the manager please , he said I am the manager ............. To which I very much doubt. He said you do know it s the school holidays , I said yes that's why I wanted to book , but was told there was no need. Well he said there's no room , to which I replied , that doesn't t help me does it. He said he would be speaking to his staff about the situation. I found him very rude and certainly won t be going there again. I wrote to beefeater , my complaint has been logged and I was told I would get a rely between 5 to 7 days . Still nothing........they don t deserve business !

User

The waitress (Julie I believe? Snarling lady with purple hair) was so, so rude we walked out at time of placing our order! Shan't be returning if she was ever to be our waitress again!! Ended up in La Bras for good food and excellent service

User

My mum and dad visited this restaurant yesterday. It wasnt particularly busy and the service was extremely slow considering. When their meals finally arrived they were awful. The steak was dreadful quality, very fatty and not edible at all and the chicken was like rubber! Also both meals were cold! My mum and dad finished their drinks, leaving their food and left as by the time it would have taken to get the matter sorted they had an appointment to get to. Both my parents are pensioners and see a meal out on a very rare occasion as a treat. They were left bitterly disappointed. Considering their bill was £40 I really feel you as a company have a LOT of issues to address. I look forward to hearing from you!

User

I nearly choked on my mouthful of lager after my partner complained to the waitress about her food, the response was priceless "you do know where you are? I don't even eat here!" , the table next to us also had problems, they sent their drinks back after the waitress forgot which drink was which and sniffed them.. classic..

I have been staying in Swansea for a week for work recently and therefore have stayed at the premier inn above the beefeater restaurant. Unfortunately i have eaten at the beefeater every night due to my work expenses however, with a choice of my own I would never step foot over your premises again!! The man who I believe to be the manager is just a joke! He walked past our table on several occasions, whilst hearing myself and my colleagues mutter "Shall we get another drink?" Or "Ahh I want a pudding now!" And completely blanked us! It seemed that relatives or close friends of the manager were spending time at the restaurant on several occasions of which took up A LOT of the staff's time, meaning they were not paying attention to paying customers. At one point the manager sat down at a table with these people for atleast half an hour, meaning myself and a colleague had to go to the bar to refill our drinks. We also found the managers attitude incredibly rude! When we went to sit down for dinner at approximately 7pm on a Thursday evening, he told us there was a 30-45 minute wait. Approximately 5-10 minutes later he had found us a table! I find this kind of service disrespectful and lazy! The manager was stood at the kitchen where the waiters collect the plates handling food and in my view this is just damn right disgusting! As a manager in a hospitality and catering industry you should be food hygiene trained to which he did not show whatsoever!! There were several other occasions that we found this manager to be lazy, incompetent and rude! However I would also like to add that the lady, who has blonde hair, who was working on the evening of the 10th August and also the morning of the 11th, was excellent and fully deserves commending for her service!! On the other hand, although we understood that you were often busy of an evening, 3 hours, ordering, waiting and having our food (without staying for drinks after) is really bad!! This matter should be resolved asap! Although I struggle to see how the issues I've raised here could be made better when the issues lye with the manager!

The waitress (Julie I believe? Snarling lady with purple hair) was so, so rude we walked out at time of placing our order! Shan't be returning if she was ever to be our waitress again!! Ended up in La Bras for good food and excellent service

Absolutely amazing food! Great price and the most friendly staff I have ever encountered! Triple cooked chips deserve more than five stars! Definitely a go to place

Had a lovely early Mother’s Day meal with my mum today. Our server Jodie, was a dream. She was super friendly, helpful and All the foods she recommended were delicious. All the other staff here at the time were all very happy and made a welcoming atmosphere ! Will definitely be coming back.

User
