good slightly different menu ,good service & value . great mix of old & new.very busy popular village pub/eating place/private venue . well done ,very different to what i knew 45 yrs ago , in a good way.

We held a party here in their pretty little barn. Fabulous venue for medium sized functions- especially in the Summer as it opens onto the courtyard for overspill. It also has a TV and projector. Costs were very reasonable, lovely, helpful staff- can't recommend it highly enough. The flexible landlord made everything really easy.

Surroundings fantastic as was the food and coffee. We were looked after by a fantastic young man who was a credit to the venue. Will definitely make the journey to re visit

One of the best roast dinners I have had for a while. Lovely area, great service and a fair price. Would recommend to anyone.

Lovely friendly pub, great beer and a perfect meal. I had Belly Pork with Black Pudding on mashed baked potato with braised red cabbage and a cider gravy, followed by Bourbon and chocolate sticky toffee pudding. Wash down with 2 pints of Redkite beer from the Grainstore brewery.

Just moved into the area and already feel at home with the lovely people and warm and welcoming service at the pub. The food is amazingly good and the pork with the chilli and rhubarb compote is one of the best things I've tasted... the fish and chips is great too :) love it!

Just had a fantastic meal at the pub. Lovely home cooked food, great service and friendly helpful staff �. Lovely touch ....get a free pud next time we go. Will definitely be going back again ....and not just for the free pud.

Had the most amazing Beef Wellington and that cheesecake was to die for. Reasonable price nice staff and good atmosphere. My compliments to the chef.

Had a great meal and good service. Sadly the pub wasn't very busy which I felt was disappointing. We will definitely go back and hope others go and check it out

Had a great Sunday lunch out with the family, every seat was full in the restaurant but service was ok. Amongst us all we had all three roasts which were all excellent, especially the beef brisket. A winner for desserts too. Will definitely be going again.
