TODAY IS THE DAY OF OUR NEW MENU LAUNCH. There is plenty to choose from. Including our vegan vitality salad or some vegan buffalo tempeh wings. Pork medallions with a gorgeous golden champion beer sauce. Or a meaty game terrine for a starter. And if you are after something sweet. We have plenty to tickle your taste buds. Like our apple and sultana crumble served with a salted toffee sauce. So yummy. So come and say hi and try some of our delicious new dishes. The team are looking forward to seeing you soon.

A huge Hoppy Easter thank you to everyone who came to our Easter Fun Weekend! 🐰 We raised a fantastic £190 for the heroes at Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance 🚁 Congratulations to Caleb for winning the Name-the-Easter-Bunny competition, we hope Carrots likes his new home! Any local farmers willing to clear our car park from the snow. It would be most appreciated. There is a meal for two and a round of drinks on us should you be happy to oblige.

Went for a family meal my Daughter having booked in advance 6 people. We ordered various main dishes and all were cooked well my steak was excellent as were others. Desserts were yummy too. If I were to be at all picky I'd say the coffee was not very nice. The staff were very good friendly and attentive. All round a very enjoyable meal and nice family evening. Will defiantly be going again soon.

We wanted to get the family together to celebrate my wife's birthday. World's End was excellent. We booked in advance and left our menu list a few days ago and it was ready for us once we assembled. One group was delayed by traffic and the pub held their meals until they arrived. We were delighted by splendid meals and the helpful, obliging staff.

We just stop for lunch I wasn’t feeling well any way but decided to try a roast it was lamb looked great but I feel ill so only had a tiny bit went to pay bill and they deducted some money off which they did not have to staff great food great

Turned up with short notice after seeing the vegan options that my wife could eat. The venue is beautiful, the staff attentive and welcoming, and the food is amazing! I had a massive starter of pate with toast, whilst my wife had the roasted Mediterranean vegetables on polenta, for the main I had the chicken with creamed leeks and my wife had the fried tofu and salad. Lovely sized portions, fresh ingredients and delicious. We will definitely come again next time we're in Taunton/Wellington.

Just had the best roast beef dinner i think ive ever had. Over from ireland and never seen a resteraunt/pub that allows dogs. Lovely place. Come back here again next time we are over.

I have been several times to this much loved place of mine, and each and every time it has always been an enjoyable experience. The award winning pie is a must and probably the best pie I have eaten . A place buzzing with atmosphere with pleasant and helpful staff.

Great food, lovely staff, really well fitted out, great attention to detail. Great for dogs!! Highly recommend

Brought a party from Bristol here for lunch. Food was fantastic, Staff were very helpful.

The food was lovely but overall service not great. Food came quickly but then collection of plates was very slow. We had to go and find someone to ask for the bill after waiting around for a while and then had to stand by the bar for even longer to pay our bill. However, I appreciate it became very busy last night.

Lovely food poor service. Booked our table online, in the comments section requested a highchair, no highchair was at the table when we arrived. No one came to check if our food was ok, no one came to clear the plates once we’d finished. We wanted to order pudding but as no one came to clear our plates we got fed up and put off. The woman behind the bar who sat us was rude and grumpy.

Very unhappy with the service, after a very substandard steak which was very overpriced we were spoke to very rudely from the young boy behind the bar. A simple splitting of a bill turned into your employee raising his voice and being very rude and obnoxious.

It was my first visit to your pub and it will be my last.

The meals that we ordered were average for the price we paid and we weren’t overly impressed especially after having to send one meal back as it was overcooked. We went to the bar to pay for the bill to which I asked for a sauce to be taken off of the bill as we didn’t have it (couldn’t be bothered to mention it after already having to wait for another meal to be cooked). We were outraged and very shocked at the manner from the dark haired man serving us from behind the bar. He was argumentative and rude and I have never been spoken to in a bar or restaurant like that before. He proceeded to still charge us for the item we did not have and said it was too late because we had already paid for it. A lady manager took over and refunded the amount very quickly and was very polite about it and apologetic. I don’t often leave reviews or comment on restaurants I visit but we were outraged at the tone we were spoke to by a member of staff. If I could give this review less that 1 star I would.

Terrible if your gluten free! Got our order wrong and it arrived with gluten items on plate. Sent it back and they returned the same plate minus the gluten item! End up being contaminated and ill. Absolutely no interest taken by the management when we complained. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!

Public health warning. We have had around 30 neighbours with food poisoning and today we were having a pint while a gentleman who was full of life, ate his meal and within 20 mins was sick outside. This really needs to be reviewed and immediately!

If you're vegan or have allergies avoid this place! Visited with family a couple of weeks ago for a birthday meal. Ordered a vegan meal. When it came after a considerable wait it didn't look right so I asked the waitress to please double check with the chef that it was vegan. She returned to confirm it was fine. I got half way through my meal for a different waitress to appear at the table asking for my plate back because it contained egg. It was NOT vegan. If I had ordered a vegan meal for allergy reasons I could have been having a serious reaction by this point. She apologised but no apology from the assistant manager. No apology from the chef. I was promised an email from the manager on their return the next day, surprise surprise this never came either. They clearly didn't see the gravity of the situation and obviously didn't care. I have been coming here for years with family and friends and have recommended it in the past despite the service issues they have always had. I will not return and have advised everyone I know to do the same. Allergies and personal choices should be taken extremely seriously. I have of course informed the authorities after the clear lack of concern from management.
