Michelle and David got married with us in the walled garden on a beautiful day in August. The whole day was bathed in sunshine.
The fab thing about our venue is you have the run of the place and can dictate the whole day’s schedule, your chosen suppliers and there is no worry of bumping into other brides on your big day! Chris and Tara are married 4 years today! 🥂 Another of our outdoor ceremony couples this was a special one as not only did Chris grow up on his family farm on the Tullyveery Road but the couple also said ‘I Do’ at the window in the walled garden overlooking their new home they were building.

A bit of a mixed Bank Holiday Monday weather wise , it felt a bit like all of the seasons rolled into one today but you can never depend on the weather! The lovely Lora and Andrew managed to have an outdoor wedding in late September last year! I don’t think Lora could quite believe her luck!
The most important thing we tell our couples is you and your guests enjoy the day and don’t let the weather dictate it too much. We have really tried to improve our venue to work with the weather and prepare for all eventualities here at Tullyveery but boy is it fab when the weather plays ball as these pics from Laura Parkinson Photography are just stunning 😍🙌🏼

A new edition to the courtyard for 2019 . . . the cloister!
We are delighted to have this completed for our couples this season.
Widening the path around the perimeter of the courtyard and adding a canopy with natural light flooding in through our skylights will make all the difference to our couples and their guests on those mizzily days or hopefully to shade them from the sun too!

What a great turn out for the Friends of Down walk in aid of Brainwaves NI. We had over 80 people on the walk/ramble and roughly 300 for the BBQ by the fabulous Jane's Kitchen. Music was provided by Ulster Orchestra which set the tone for a lovely afternoon. It was great to see the grounds so busy and everyone enjoying themselves.

There is only 1 week to go until our Brainwaves NI charity ramble and fundraising event. Fingers are very much crossed for more weather like we are getting! 🤞
There is no entry fee for either of the walks but we would encourage any walkers to “donate” on the Just Giving site. (www.justgiving.com/fundraisi…/friendso fdownwalkforbrainwaves). We are keen to have a prompt start so that everyone is back for lunch.
... The start time is 10.00am or thereabouts for the Long walk.
The start time is 11.00am or thereabouts for the Short walk.
Anyone not walking but who would like to support this event are very welcome to join the lunch for which there is a charge which also gives you free entry to the tombola / ballot. Lunch is due to start 12.45pm /1.00pm.
There will be raffle tickets for sale on the day for various great prizes however the big prize that has been donated is a 5 ⭐villa for 6 people for a week in Barbados. Auctioned HERE: https://buff.ly/2DtD0UF.

As you know, a knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie- therefore when you ‘tie the knot’ on a rainy day, your marriage is just as hard to unravel.
What a lovely thought for any of our couples concerned about the weather on their big day. Take inspiration from the lovely Chris and Hannah, once the rain cleared they decided to have their first dance under the stars 🌟 in the c...ourtyard and it was really something to remember, truly magical! They did not let the weather dampen their day but embraced it! 🙌🏼
Of course we have tried to think of every eventuality here at Tullyveery and are excited to show you some improvements to the courtyard to combat the Northern Irish weather! (Sorry to be a tease, all will be revealed soon!)

The Friends of Down are organising a Walk and Lunch at Tullyveery House on Sunday 28th April in support of Brainwaves NI.
An 8 mile ramble from Tullyveery House Weddings by Killyleagh, on minor roads, past Killyleagh Castle, along the shore of Strangford Lough, through the Delamont Estate and back to Tullyveery. There will also be a shorter version walk of around 3 miles.
The aim is to promote awareness for Brainwaves NI and in doing so to raise substantial funds to support ...all those affected by brain tumour.
The walk will be followed by a lunch at Tullyveery House, accompanied with music played by the Ulster Youth Orchestra.
Brainwaves NI will also run a ballot on the day, with amazing prizes including a week in Barbados at a 5 star beach villa for six, a week at a County Donegal cottage and much more….
Tullyveery House are generously hosting the event, with Jane's Kitchen and many local suppliers. If you would like to join us or would like to give a donation, however small or large pleas see all details:
