This was our first ever market. 4 years ago! What a journey this has been. Thanks to all those who supported us that day and encouraged us along. Yesterday was one of our busiest days ever and another sell out day! Fully stocked again this morning. Lots of bread for sale!
Open as normal all week. Lots of bread, sweets and tasty lunches to enjoy. See you in the morning!
Joins us in Celebrating local and seasonal. Our next supper club is this Saturday night. We are sourcing all our main ingredients within 10 miles aiming to use what is grown or made in our local area. We have a few spaces left www.ursaminorbakehouse.com/events for more info.
Another lovely sourdough class yesterday. Our next one is already sold out. But we will be planning our autumn & winter classes and announcing a few more soon
All about those layers! Great croissants this morning. Lots of breads and sweets all day today!
Great afternoon @broughgammonfrm Farm Fridays when the open their cafe and farm up to the public. Lovely lunch and great fun for the family!!
Another weekend, another wedding cake 💜 From bottom to top; vanilla sponge with fresh raspberry chantilly cream, orange sponge with orange crème légère and a chocolate and almond torte with dark chocolate cream. The most beautiful blooms 🌺

Always bring the right equipment when camping. Hand grinder, kettle, scales, chemex and most importantly, coffee. Slopes of 8 from @koppi_roasters is too good! Will be on filter all this week!

Cake table from an event we catered this past weekend. What a view!
So delicious at this time of year - strawberry & cream cruffins
Filter has arrived at Ursa Minor! Super excited to be serving some pretty special filter coffee! Pop in, grab a cup & a croissant and relax
Another beautiful wedding cake this week by @kiki_ohart. It’s a real honour to be asked to make someone’s wedding cake, we love getting to be part of their special day in such a lovely way. Feel free to drop us a message or email if you’d like more information. Tag a friend who is getting married and share it with them.
Listen to the crunch! 🥐 Our goal is to make the best croissant in the North. It’s been a long road, lots of trials with different flours, timings, lamination methods, and lots of BUTTER! Definitely heading in the right direction.

what an awesome new space these guys have nurtured in what was craft connections but tis now URSA MINOR. I love lunch here, or coffee while working in the window and where else should you be with your people on Doughnut Day (Saturday) other than eating Dara's doughnuts or maybe even taking some goodies home to enjoy later. FIVE STARS hands down no Qs asked.
bread making course was awesome! Highly recommend!
This is such a great place. Food is excellent as are the staff. A privilege to watch this lovely young couple go from strength to strength.
The vegan options are appreciated and so good! The soup was so so good especially on a rainy day and the sourdough bread is amazing as I'm sure they know! Also love the vibe and feel of this place!
The bread making course is fantastic. So much knowledge and enthusiasm for good honest food.I found it entertaining and surprisingly easy to follow. The lunch provided was fantastic as was the morning coffee and patisserie. I would highly recommend both the cafe and the course ...i only hope I can do it justice and keep my sourdough starter alive
Thank you Ciara for a fantastic night of great local fresh food, prepared and cooked superbly enjoyed in your relaxing surroundings with great company #supperclub #10mileradius #freshandforaged
So glad to find this gem of a place.Gorgeous morocon aubergine stew with tahini fresh coriander and toasted ciabatta vegan style with vegan pecan brownie to follow.Thank you for my lovely lunch.
Need somewhere to work, where drinking multiple cups of coffee to justify hogging a seat for so long feels like an indulgent treat instead of a chore? Somewhere to meet mum friends, where your kids will actually play in the toy corner instead of running riot or begging to go home? Somewhere to kick back with your crew on a Saturday morning while you remember what each other looks like and sample the best damn doughnuts in the country? Or just somewhere to flick through books of recipes you'll never actually make but which make you feel like a better person just for considering it? You found it. All this and more. Eat the bread. Drink the coffee. Try everything on the menu at least once. You won't regret it. Well, you might, cos you won't be able to stop yourself from coming back...

Love this place, keep up the great work guys x
Just spent the day on the bread making course which was brilliant. Dara was very passionate about his skill which was a great motivator. We made Sourdough, Rye & Focaccia had a fab lunch and lots of sweetie treats not to mention loads of fun. For anyone contemplating the course I would highly recommend it, you’ll never eat supermarket bread again!
Just had lunch here. We thought it was the nicest toasted sandwich we have had! 3 of us tried a different dish, I had beetroot hummus with feta, leaves and seeds, mum had tomato, rocket and prosciutto and Pete had salami, Gouda, gherkins, capers and Dijonaise, all were served on home baked toasted sourdough bread. They were all delicious - I tried some of each! Coffees were great too and we took away some scrummy looking home made cakes and a walnut sourdough loaf. The guys that run it are gentle, friendly, knowledgable and they really care about what they do. We recommend you visit them, you won't be disappointed.
Had a lovely lunch with a friend. The food was really tasty its, nice to be able to walk in somewhere that has a good selection for vegetarians and the bread is so good will be going back...
Excellent evening at Ursa Minor- 12 mile menu innovative and tasty local fayre!
Clearly driven by a genuine passion for real bread, complimented by high quality coffee, pastries, cheese and pickles, Ursa Minor is perfect example of how to run a great cafe.
Cant stop thinking about my lunch today, both the toasted rye and the aubergine bowl were amazing, both of us had never tasted cucumber like it! I'm back in Belfast and after a cracking weekend with the sun this was a true highlight to round it up! Will be back soon, but will first attempt to recreate it at home! Cheers again
Called in today for a loaf of Sourdough and it surpassed my expectations in every way. Downstairs is fantastic where you can see the bread being baked but I was to late unfortunately. The Sourdough tasted delicious with lashings of butter.
I highly recommend the bread and the bakery which is made more enjoyable by the friendly staff.
I look forward to the Sourdough classes in the Autumn.
Amazing bread, diet destroying treats and a super Sourdough course. Unreservedly my favourite place on the North Coast (that doesn't do beer)
A truly lovely and happy little spot. Excellent food, excellent coffee and the most beautiful patisserie. Always enjoy my visit. Keep up the great work Guys.
