Wellow Dam is a fishing pond just under an acre in size with 25 well spaced pegs. Matches and pleasure fishing is welcome. Day ticket price for 2020 £5 per rod after 5pm reduced to £3, Open match held every Wednesday
Wellow Dam Description
Welcome to the Wellow Dam Facebook page. Wellow Dam is operated by Thoresby Angling Club. The lake is thought to originate from around 1145AD and is spring fed. It is close to an acre in size and has 25 well spaced pegs.
The lake is available for pleasure fishing and match fishing.
Wellow Dam is well stocked with Carp to 25lbs, Tench and Bream to 3lb, Roach, Ide, Chub and Rudd to 1lb, Perch to 3lb, Barbel to 3lb. The odd rogue eel to 6lb have been seen in the winter months.
Fishing is Dawn until Dusk unless stated otherwise on the notice board.

Day Tickets £5 per rod
Match prices: £5 per peg, £100 for all the pond.

It has been brought to my attention that one of our members has had some abuse from anglers on the pond today, please be aware that we will not tolerate this, buying a day ticket does not give anyone the right to do as they please, rules are on the notice board read before fishing, if you don't like the rules please feel free to go elsewhere,
From now till end of January 2020 day ticket price will be just £3, we will also do match booking for half price
