User

awesome museum ^_^ loved learning about my towns history ^_^ staff were very polite ^_^

User

You can tell just how effort has gone into the refurbishment and the staff were very friendly and informative. To top it all it is free entry. Never had any lunch but everything looked and smelt wonderful.

User

Wish I came here sooner. Fantastic place. I encourage everyone to pop down. And obviously donate.

User

What an amazing evening we had last night at the Museum comes to life evening, my children and I had a brilliant time, lots of laughing and the characters were amazing. Thank you for putting on this brilliant event

User

We’ve been twice, love the building, very accessible. Sadly it was fully booked for the Victorian experience. But we enjoyed the rainbow art. Highly recommend, would visit again.

User

Well done to all on the newly reopened, redesigned and refurbished Weston-s-Mare Museum. A great and informative attraction telling the story of Weston's journey to becoming a premier seaside resort. Thanks

User

We visited today for an educational session for children about Vikings and Saxons, and really enjoyed it. Plenty of hands-on learning and a friendly and engaging workshop leader. Thank you!

User

We really enjoyed our visit today. A lovely selection of different exhibits. Souvenirs which didn't break the bank. Really friendly & helpful staff, & the lunch we had in the cafe was lovely - great children's meals too xx

User

We love the museum!

I used 2 come here regularly when I was growing up and now I bring my girls!!

Keep up the good work! U all do a fab job!! :)

User

Very friendly staff and volunteers. Good variety of exhibitions and children's trail.

User

This recently-revamped museum is charming, accessible & very interesting with a well-preserved cottage furnished in mid-20th century style, a good selection of minerals & fossils & a regularly changing series of temporary exhibits.

It also offers a series of afternoon or evening talks, plus excellent craft-based entertainments for children during the school holidays.

Staff are helpful & informative, & the shop has some really nice items rather than just tat! The cafe is clean, pleasant & has a range of home-made goodies.

It is likely to become my go-to place for snacks when in Weston-super-Mare, as well as a Must See venue for visiting friends.

User

This is a great place to visit. Always fun always interesting. Plz hurry back, 2 years seems such s long time

User

Thank you for a brilliant Viking Day and amazing costumes for the children to dress up in :-)

User

Perfect! Something for every age group and interest.

100% visitor friendly. Bright, light and airy. Lift to first floor with wide floorspace and easy access.

Exhibits clearly labelled with audio available.

I loved Clara's cottage and the toy collection! The antique dolls houses are outstanding and should be publicized amongst collectors of antique toys as a place to visit.

Thank you for a lovely visit; I will be back!

User

My team Wessex Paranormal Investigations carried out a full invo at this wonderful museum last night.

We had some absolute fantastic results and I'm sure we wowed the volunteers on duty with things we encountered.. The Staff were absolutely amazing, we're very helpful and very friendly and I'd like to think we made a good impression on them.

Thanks to them and their enthusiasm we would love to rebook this again for another Paranormal Lock down.

User

My daughter and I enjoyed ourselfs very much amazing job they have done there worth the trip

User

Most interesting exhibits and lovely staff.

User

It's a fantastic building with lovely enthusiast staff. We visited especially to see the facial hair & body art exhibition- it was brilliant and really interesting. The shop however needs more stuff - I wanted to spend money but struggled to find anything appropriate to buy. Next time I'll spend my £ in the cafe instead to support the museum :)

User

I took my grand-children to the Halloween activities today... we had such a wonderful time... the range of arty crafty ideas were great and well set out... all the staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming... we had lunch there too, really yummy, cafe staff lovely too.

There is a sweet play area for little ones and

lots of interesting artefacts upstairs to look at.

The atmosphere was warm and relaxed. What an enjoyable three hours we had - Thank you

User

I think it’s brilliant now that it’s had a makeover there is a nice cafe there a room for children to do projects this week they were doing Halloween stuff. The way it is laid out with lighting is very appealing older children had sheets to fill out things to find to keep their interest and even the toilets looked old fashioned.

User

I love the Museum. I've visited to see the exhibits, I've been to Quiz Nights there, also literary festival events, and this weekend I went to the live broadcast of Any Questions. It's a great community venue, with a really relaxed and friendly vibe

User

Great quiz night hosted at the Museum, lovely atmosphere in the courtyard this evening and as as a result of the quiz master Chris who volunteers at the Museum and made sure everyone had fun!

User

Great place. Very interesting to visit and staff fantastic !

User

Great place , thank you for letting us investigate the museum.

User

Great day, with lots to keep the kids entertained! Looking forward to visiting again once the refurbishment is complete!

User

Friendly, engaging and knowledgeable staff, great locally-focused exhibits.

User

First visit since the re-opening today... Had a great light lunch in the cafe (loving how much of the food and drink is locally sourced), then a wander round. It looks and feels so much better now, and there are some great exhibits :)

User

Fantastic place just had a birthday high tea party and the food was delicious, the cake was made by one of the staff, especially gluten free for my grandson, who has to miss out on certain foods due to wheat intolerance. The service was very professional and all guests commentated on the excellent food. If you are thinking of having a function contact the museum.

User

Fantastic museum! A great starting point for exploring Weston!

User

Fantastic few hours spent there enjoyed all the local history.

User

As part of the Wessex Paranormal Investigations team that was at the museum on Saturday, I would like to say thank you to the staff, they were extremely helpful, the museum itself is amazing and well worth a visit.

We spent several hours conducting our overnight investigation and I was very pleased with the things we discovered, looking forward to returning.

User

As a childminder with different aged children in the holidays this is a lovely place to come. We visited this morning joining in with activities and a walk round the museum. My older children loved looking at the war artefacts you have there this week. Keep up the good work. Oh and a really good cup of coffee too.

User

A1 Camera Clubs Exhibition. The Museum help setting up was superb. Their refreshments are the best. The museum is very family friendly and interesting.

User

Very nice restoration. It's just a shame they took out the Grand Pier's history. I think it was a bit more interesting that a couple of paintings (the paintings were very nice, just comparing)

Good job! :D

User

Not very good old one was better ,also very disapointed at the wooden bricks i have one but very shabby the names will not last long

User

Lovely design although we didn't think there was much in there. Lots of blank spaces and to be filled. Nothing that much on old Weston it's self . It was a bit disappointing but will go again in 6 months see if there are a few more exhibitions. The refurbishment is excellent though. It was free but I won't be rushing back
