Whitehouse Farm Cherries

Tomorrow (Wednesday) will be the last day of the season. From early on tomorrow it is likely that we will only be able to supply those who have already joined our mailing list and submitted their orders by email.

Probably 10 more days to go. Despite Sunday’s rain the fruit continues to be in good condition and, with a few remaining Colney and Lapins plus a fair amount of Sweetheart, Vanda and Regina still to be picked, we expect the harvest to continue into next week.

"Best tasting cherries in 30 years"! Come to our Farm Shop in Chard, Somerset to try our vintage crop. We are in the last 7-14 days of the season, so be quick!

That moment many cherry connoisseurs have been awaiting, we now have Colney on sale both at our own Farm Shop and at Rumwell Farm Shop (on the A38 south of Taunton).
Once again Charlton Orchards will have our cherries on sale at Taunton, Wimborne and Wells Markets this week.

Charlton Orchards will have our cherries on sale at Wells and Dorchester tomorrow (Wednesday). Merchant picking is nearly complete and we have started Sasha. Summersun is very nearly ready; it might even be tomorrow that we have them on sale at the Farm Shop.

Even though the weather has been ideal, the ‘Merchant’ cherries are taking a little longer to ripen than we predicted a week ago.
As a consequence, we will be open from 9:00am this Wednesday (27th of June).

The Merchant are now moderately red in colour and, if the weather forecast for the coming week is near correct on day and night time temperatures, we would expect to have some cherries to pick in the early part of next week.

The 2017 harvest is now complete. We greatly appreciate and thank you for all your support and look forward to seeing you here again in 2018.

We will have Lapins on sale at the Charlton Orchards stands both at Wells and Dorchester tomorrow. Also, please look for our fruit on Charlton Orchards stand at Taunton on Thursday.
For the Farm Shop we are now picking wonderful Regina and should be making a start on Sweetheart towards the end of the week.

Our cherry harvest could continue until mid-August. Even after all the rain we still have some excellent cherries to pick and, given reasonable conditions and more relatively cool temperatures, we could still be picking and selling cherries for another two weeks.

Picked up a tub of these cherries at the market in Wells today, only bad thing about them was on my part- I only picked up a small tub! Best cherries I've ever had!

Love the cherries from here, always buy mine when they're at Taunton farmers market, om nom nom!
