Wow what can I say a lovely campsite with All the facilities needed, and the owners are exceptional and passionate about what they do, we visited as I was doing the dragon ride in the area so was very convenient to travel into port talbot, the owner were fantastic with the wife who was left at base camp and went above and beyond to make her feel welcome helping feed the llamas and ducks and having a coffee with you guys, you made us feel so at home 10/10 guys we love what you are about and we will be back thank you

User

We stayed in the cabin & it was brill had everything we needed for 2 nights. There was 3 of us & we had lots of room.

Kitchen on the back with everything you need a short walk to the

shower / wash rooms & you always had hot water.

Nothing was to much trouble for Marc & Liberty (was good to meet Marc's dad as well & chat about American trucks / cars).

User

Super friendly staff, lovely surroundings. There was nothing to fault here. WE LOVE IT!! 2 adults, 2 kids all wanting to go back ASAP!! :)

Our experience of Willow Springs Campsite has been nothing but positive. Within the initial email exchanges Marc was really helpful in saying about good drives (as we were coming to South Wales for a driving holiday).

On the arrival day we were caught in bad traffic and our arrival time was a lot later than planned. We emailed Willow Springs to let them know, they told us not to worry and to just get there safely. That was our introduction to the kindness of the Willow Springs family.

On our first day we had a problem with one of the cars and they didn’t hold back in offering to help us where they could.

Marc and Jude always felt accessible and that we come to them at any point throughout our stay.

We stayed in the Shepherds Hut, which we thoroughly enjoyed and felt as if it were a home away from home. The décor was tasteful and Marc and Jude have set the Hut up with everything that we could need. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we had such a good sleep for the nights that we stayed. There was more than enough parking for two cars. Marc and Jude were always making sure we were okay that we had enough fuel for cooking, wood/firelighters for the burner and ice packs for the food.

The bathrooms are designed to seem homely and they feel like that. They are clean to a high standard and don’t at all feel like typical campsite bathrooms.

We loved staying in the Shepherds Hut and at Willow Springs so much that we stayed an extra night. We were sad to leave the next day, but we will definitely be returning again!

Can’t recommend Willow Springs and Marc, Jude and their daughter Liberty enough. We hope to spend more time with them on our next trip.

Edit: Also forgot to add that we had a lovely hand written card and a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. A lovely touch.

User

Only stayed for one night but wished it could have been longer. Fab campsite in an absolutely beautiful setting, with fantastic views of the hills and a stream with waterfall running through the site. Lovely friendly owners, Mark was very helpful and let the kids feed the ducks in the morning which they loved. Lovely to be able to buy fresh eggs for breakfast! Definitely recommend the site and will be back :)

User

One of the healthiest and mentally relaxing holidays ever. Doing the dishes with a backdrop of beautiful mountains and a waterfall - how good is that?! Add to that fresh duck eggs and milk, staying out on the trails all day (on bikes or on foot, equally awesome), warm and spacious bathrooms and - if you're in the Shepherd's Hut - a stove that makes the rainy evenings warm and cosy. A nice bonus is that the fire road on the back of the campsite takes you to the beginning of the main mountain bike trails in the area. And Mark is a great host, very helpful and friendly. Hopefully we'll be back!

User

My husband and I had a lovely time here, wish we could have stayed longer and will be back! Great bathroom facilities and such a lovely setting. Perfect spot for long dog walks. Bargain. Such a friendly family.

User

My hubby and I have just spent two nights in Willow Springs and we had the most lovely stay!

Marc was very welcoming and friendly giving us everything we need to know and show us around.

We had a mini-biking break and the location is perfect to hit the trails at the Glyncorrwg Trail Centre.

Our pitch was perfect to fit our tent and car with lovely views and was perfectly peaceful.

Marc gave us plenty of information prior to our arrival and I have to admit, I underestimated the advice regarding the midges however, Marc was ever so kind to help me out with my attack

We will most definitely be coming again and we absolutely recommend the site to anyone who wants a real Welsh, scenic camping experience.

What a fantastic corner of the world!

Thank you Marc!

Marc and Judy have created a campsite with a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Generous pitches, all with great views over the valley. If your idea of a perfect campsite is one with immaculate, quality facilities (great shower rooms) without the unnecessary 'frills' that ruin so many large commercial ventures this is for you. Add Llamas, geese and ducks (try the eggs) and a shepherd's hut for those that want a bit of luxury and it is a wonderful experience. And all this about a mile from the trailhead of some of Britain's best regarded mountain bike trails. We will definitely be back.

User

Just back from 2 nights at the beautiful shepherds hut to celebrate my partners birthday with our small family. All the little extras and touches make it special, Marc & Judy have created something special! Well done guys, we loved it! Everyone has been blown away by our photos! Thank you

User

Had an amazing two nights staying in the shepherds hut on the weekend for our 5th wedding anniversary (wood). The hut had everything we needed for an enjoyable 2 nights - the owners really have thought of everything. The shower rooms were clean and had plenty of hot water. Will definately be back for another visit - thank you!

User

Great for all the family! The views are amazing! The facilities are clean and staff are friendly and very knowledgable.

User

Goodness. There are no words. New Years Eve at this site. Amazing. My new go to place. Already dreaming of it. Next visit in the offing. Mark was brilliant. Thank you so much.. loved it.

User

Came here for the 1st May bank holiday weekend with some friends of ours. Absolutely LOVED this place. The owners were so friendly and welcoming and always willing to go out of their way for you. The facilities they provide are always very clean. The area around is beautiful which makes for a very peaceful, relaxing time! We will definitely return. Thank you Willow Springs

User

Brilliant site, the owners were fab - really friendly and a great location. Spent 7 nights there as a base to climb around South Wales, and clearly a great spot to head out mountain biking, walking and so much more! Good size pitches and well maintained facilities - we will book again soon! R&P :)

User

Booked Willow Springs for a 2 night stay in our motorhome. What a beautiful and amazing place this is. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at home by the owners, Marc and Jude. The scenery is stunning, nestled in a valley, up in the hills on the edge of the forest. We were looking for a quiet and relaxing weekend away, and that is exactly what we got.

With only a handful of camping pitches and a couple of camping huts, you are guaranteed a quiet place to stay.

We will certainly be back.

User

Beautiful campsite and glamping huts with amazing views we had a warm welcome on arrival, amazing facilities everything was clean and tidy definitely made to feel at home highly recommend if your visiting the afan valley that you stay here , me and the Mrs will be coming back soon

User

Can't wait to go again

User

Amazing place, wonderful owners, clean and always vacant bathrooms, hardly any midges or mosquitoes, peace and tranquility of a beautiful Welsh forest. We will certainly come back here in the future!
