4D ULTRASOUND FACT SHEET
4D technology uses sound waves that are out of the range of human hearing so your baby will not be aware of the scan taking place. For good clear imaging, we need a pool of amniotic fluid around baby’s face. To get the very best 4D images it’s important that your baby is in a face upward position However the images of your baby’s face will be affected by anything that blocks or reduces the sound waves or causes a shadow, the umbilical cord, baby’s hands and feet.
Babies position also plays a large part in the clarity of the images. If baby is cuddled in to the wall of the womb or placenta your imaging will be hazy. We can try to encourage movement by asking you to roll onto your side, sometimes taking a walk around is also needed. Our policy is to try our best for you on the day, unfortunately this means we may over run on our scan times. Please be patient every client is very important to us.
Our clinic offers pregnancy scans at all gestastions from 16 - 40 weeks of pregnancy and all our sonographers are fully trained in clinical & diagnostic ultrasound. All our scans are started with a well-being check of baby and if they feel there could be a problem with baby we will explain as fully as we are able and speak to your midwife with your permission.

amazing service in window to the womb, the baby was really stubborn but there was amazing service and they made us feel really comfortable and found out the gender of the baby.. very happy with the service �

My daughter had her gender scan scan tonight and wow what a wonderful experience, Maria was so welcoming and friendly and it continued all the way through the two lady's in the scan room were fantastic,, so reassuring informative, and the lady who sorted the pictures out was also friendly. Just had my well being and gender scan at Window to the Womb Swansea and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! All staff were friendly and very welcoming :-) even when baby wouldn't co-operate staff were very patient and caring! Highly recommend xx
I had my 16 week gender scan yesterday evening, it was fantastic the staff were really friendly and I loved my scan! Everything was really thorough and I had a sneak peak of my baby in 4d which was lovely. Will definitely recommend and be back for a 4D scan
Had the VIB Scan in 4D HD today it was amazing.. Felt so comfortable and at ease with the staff there they were all Happy and helpful.. we can't wait to compare the pictures when our princess is born. �

Had a scan with windows to the womb , it was a pleasant atmosphere the staff can't do enough to help you they were amazing the scan room is beautiful totally relaxing the sonographer was really good and talked throughout the scan, this is the second time I've been there now and they deserve a medal I would recommend them to anyone totally happy the pictures were fantastic loved every minute of it will be back for my 28 week scan

Even thou I couldn’t see my baby in 4D/3D. Due to my placenta. My experience was amazing . I found out was having a babygirl . And she checked that over and over . She checked all well being of the baby I felt comfortable , Not rushed . My 12 year old was with me and every member made a fuss . The receptionist I met yesterday was one delightful lady and I couldn’t thank her more making a big fuss . My mum loved the experience too . Will def be going back with the dad this time . P.s he loved his heart beat teddy ! Xxxxx
Baby was an awkward little bug the first time which meant we were unable to get any good photos. However, the team were more than happy to re-scan me a few days later without any hassle. Loved my experience, however I think the actual sonographer could’ve been a little more enthusiastic and chatty, she didn’t really seem like she enjoyed her job. Overall, a really good experience ��
