May and June - definitely the best time of year in South Devon!! The sea pinks and wild flowers are out on the coastal path; the days are long and light; and the beaches are quiet! Bliss!

The Beach House at South Milton Sands is a lovely 20 mins walk from Little Byfield and Lower Byfield in Thurlestone South Devon (or a nice 40 mins stop from Old Shop Cottage in Bantham). Rated as one of the top ten best beach bars/cafes by The Guardian this month and absolutely fantastic if you like sea food.
We do enjoy having this gem a gentle stroll away!
We have 3 lovely properties all by the sea in South Devon. They all have enclosed gardens and most have sea views. ... Bantham, South Devon. Probably the nicest beach on the South Devon coast! Gorgeous soft sand, and miles of it at low tide, rock pools, tidal pools and lifeguards! Family heaven. Plus you have surf school, beach side cafe, lovely village shop with cafe and stunning views, and an excellent dog friendly pub too. And if that isn't enough, there are excellent walks along the coastal path towards Thurlestone, along the River Avon or (via the pedestrian ferry) to Bigbury and Burgh I...sland.
Old Shop Cottage is right in the heart of the village. A quirky cottage with bags of history. Excellent entertaining space with a huge kitchen diner and cozy living room; courtyard garden (6ft+ fences); 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
