Amazing place. Many classes, nice trainers, pool, spa, sauna, affordable price

Lovely staff, great facilities that are as good if not better than other gyms who have a much higher cost of membership. Pleasantly surprised! Plus a swimming pool I didn't know about.

Likes to be called a 'Health Club' rather than gym, but not really pretentious (though I've never thought of it as a 'club' like a tennis club, say)...

Positives include: a large selection of cardio machines, accessories (kettlebells, foam rollers, etc), constant cleaning (tho I personally find it slightly annoying at times) & a decent sized free weights area (tho not walled off so the sight of those muscle-bound freaks are hidden from us normal people); There is a large swimming pool (can get crowded on school hols) with steam room, sauna and hot tub.

Situated on a busy road and industrial estate, the location is less than bucolic and difficult to reach for cyclists and walkers, though there is plenty of car parking space, including for disabled patrons (if they can find a space that is, as those are usually stolen by the youngest and fittest members, as they are nearest to the gym entrance). Also you can park on the double-yellows as no-one appears eager to monitor them...

The changing rooms are clean and spacious enough; the showers however are showing their age and need a complete overhaul (as of June 2017).

Staff are variable as in any facility, but mostly friendly and helpful.

The cost of membership is on the high end of 'value for money' in my estimation but of course depends on how much use is made of the facilities.

Classes are varied and plentiful, with a preponderance towards Body Pump (weights) & cardio (eg Body Combat, Attack) but still many Yoga, Pilates and even ballet-inspired classes.

There is now free wi-fi installed.

It's a good gym for cardio but not much else, the floors uneven so the benches wobble when you try to balance, you can't deadlift as everything rolls away. Sauna is nice though

Nice pool , very good gym equipment , lots of classes on offer. Good staff. Showers let the club down. They turn off very quickly and the water pressure is very slow.

User

Really love this gym. Pool, spa great gym and studio classes included in price.

Been going for well over a year now just had a recent refurbishment of the gym area which is really nice excellent pool with good steam and sauna rooms. Only minor negative is the changing rooms and showers are looking a little worse for wear although the area's are kept clean and tidy.
