Egg's benedict are to die for but the price also kills you, all the staff are friendly

Pleasant enough venue with nice staff and good sports facilities. The temperature of the 20 metre swimming pool varies, as does how many people are using it. The aqua aerobics are very popular and if you are wanting a relaxing swim it's best to avoid those sessions held on the non-fast-lane. There are two jaccuzzis which are so relaxing that some people hog them for much longer than their fair share of time. Children under 12 are not allowed in them, but some parents ignore this rule.

Avoid this place unless you want your fees to go up and it is a completely unpleasant sweat box in the summer.

When you walk in this place seems really nice and the staff I have encountered are on the whole friendly and try to be helpful. The problem comes after you have signed up and start to use the place. I signed up 7 months ago and since then the monthly towel charge has more than doubled, the fees have gone up. The air conditioning is out of action and will be for another 8 weeks. The changing rooms are like a sauna. The gym itself is incredibly hot and unpleasant to work out in.

Recently they removed the paper towels from the gym and replaced them with hygienic wipes, which is great for cleaning the machines, but absolutely useless for mopping your brow with.

The club management make the right noises and are sympathetic to the problems, but do not seem to be able to sort anything out. I can only conclude that Duncan's immense fortune comes from tricking endless suckers to sign up with a veneer of great club, and then gets them to leave or worse still, not go while they are still paying for it.

Not a spa! The swimming pool etc are on a separate floor and at oposite sides of the building - not convenient for joining up treatments with sauna. The lunch was poor - the omlete was a rubbery, over microwaved lump. The lockers were all padlocked so I ended up lugging my bag between treatments. The treatments however were very good and the staff friendly - dragging the score up to 2 stars.

Joined 2 years ago... really good and clean place

A member of staff lied to me about being able to cancel my membership if I was leaving the country. The gym refused to cancel my membership early (like I had been promised) and I had to pay the rest of the fees in a lump sum (over £400) in order to get the contract cancelled.

i have been member for few years now, everything looks good except the POOL. i was there yesterday after little break. Showers in the pool barely working, very annoying chemical smell in the steam room, an other steam room didn't work,there is no heat in sauna, only one jacuzzi was working. There is not pleasant clean and relaxing atmosphere any more ...
