Fitness First

It's friendlier branch than most FF I've been to.

Gym floor is tiny and they don't let you out of your 1 year contract early once you've grown entirely fed up of the mess and lack of space.

Great gym for students but lack some equipment

I used to really enjoy going to the London Bridge Fitnesss First. I joined fitness first for the ability to use different gyms near to work and home, and for many years it was a great experience.

However, as time has gone by the standards have slipped, and the level of customer care has declined.

On my latest visits to the London Bridge gymt the changing rooms were dirty and poorly maintained. And the gym was vastly overcrowded, making it difficult to work out.

Fitness Firsts customer service has also slipped.

They recently sold off the two closest gyms to my house, and so when I was forced to cancel (what other choice is there when their next nearest gym is over 40 minutes drive), I was pretty disgusted to find they want to charge me a months notice for the privelige.

Apparently its in their terms and conditions, and it would be "unethical" to not charge me, and to charge other members.

I'm not sure why the customer support team made a call to "ethics".

If we're going to go down that route, what's ethical about selling the gyms I had access to, and then penalizing me for a situation out of my control.

Ultimately, if they wanted to maintain a good customer relationship, they would forgo this charge.

At this point, its not about the extra charge, although it stings, its about the years and years of customer loyalty and relationship that was built up. This feels like a slap in the face.

Its not often you get customers who stay with you for almost a decade. And when you do, it makes sense to look after them, not treat them like dirt.

Terrible , shockingly small. My living room is bigger then the gym floor. Only 7 threadmills of which 1 broken. Packed of people but none can actually have a nice workout. No steam room and the sauna again is house standard and for use of only 2 people max at time.

We wanted to cancel our contract because we've moved and they requested us to send them the flight confirmations. We have send the boarding passes. After that they didn't answered and after two months we founded out from our previous landlords that we received a letter from a credit recovery company. We have contacted First Fitness again and they told us that those are not considered flight confirmations without telling us this thing first time when we send it and what kind of other confirmations is acceptable. As far as I know and I've flight many times, there are no other confirmations necessarily when you fly. We have send them more than one week ago all the forwarded correspondence from the flight company that we've used but still no answer.

We are really affected by this situation and we want to solve the problem as soon as possible.

Great gym. The staff are so welcoming and friendly, it makes you look forward to going to the gym!

usual good experience that I get from Fitness First. location is great and although it's a small club I always find a space. also like the sauna inside the changing rooms for a quick relaxation before shower

The club is staffed by very welcoming and helpful people. The facilities are well maintained and there is a good range of equipment available for use.

I really liked this gym at first, so close to work and the membership included a gym close to home. I asked a lot of questions about the membership when I signed up and they clarified repeatedly about the process including that I will get a personal trainer added in my joining fee even when I said I didn't want one and that the first month payment would not be in the first month as the joining fee would cover this. They lied. I keep asking about my PT but they don't know anything and I was charged twice for this month joining fee and couple of weeks later the monthly fee. Too crowded for this amount of money in the first month.
