Excellent facilities. Interested staff. Thorough introduction.

You pay a lot of money for classes you can not get into as demand is higher than programme provision.

In twenty years they still have not responded to this matter and put on more classes . This is especially so in the mind body programme.

Horrible name for a spa. If you love and respect animals don't join. It is called "The Laboratory" because before it became a spa many years ago, there use to be a laboratory on the grounds where they experimented on animals, as a result of this the place is cursed as a well known olympic gymnast collaped and died there a couple of years ago.

Having recently returned to the Laboratory due to work commitments overseas I am enjoying the facilities again. From the lovely pool to the great staff, quality equipment and healthy food in the friendly restaurant, the membership is excellent value and I would highly recommended the club.

I have been attending for a week. As you can tell by the reviews, rich people will always act like cry babies. This place is grand. The pool is divine.

Absolutely cretins on the door; I spent 50 £ and I've been insulted by the idiots because i lost a piece of paper!?

I love this gym - I wasn't a fan of gyms before this but the pool is superb and I use it every day. Well worth the money.

The best spa in great location. Highly recommended!

The place is fine and the manager Luca is fantastic (there is one female manager - who would benefit from some customer service training), and the personal trainers were faultless. However the patrons are vile. They're spoilt, selfish and unrealistic. I cancelled my membership and I've gone back to my previous club which was more expensive but the members actually have brains.

This sentence is just for KE BY who took the time to stalk my profile to find out what else I have been doing. I don't give a monkeys where you want to eat or what you consider is better. Finally what the hell are you talking about? Who shared towels with me? and why are you referencing body shapes? Were you drinking when you wrote your review or have I touched a nerve? Why don't you put your real name on here and lets talk about your personal feelings towards me face to face? The spa should be pleased that they have such a loyal disciple or could it be that you work there...

Excellent facilities, and very good pool.

Unfortunately the staff esp. the ones dealing with payment are quite rude and want to take every penny out of you.

1. When i requested to cancel after being a loyal member for some years, they said the staff who dealt with cancellations was away, and they would call me.

After at least 2 weeks, they didn't call.

I cancelled my direct debit, as that was my only way to stop membership.

Only then did they call me, demanding i paid for the next month, due to a clause in the contract, and threatening that they would take me to court.

Suddenly they had every resource to threaten me by, but when it came to cancelling membership no-one was there to be found.

It is not just me who has had this experience. Other people i know have had very difficult time cancelling as well.

2. They try to take every single penny out of you from every angle. If you forget your lock they want you to pay £5 to *borrow* a lock.

3. Very stingy with guest passes. One time in all the years i was a member after spending many thousands of pounds on membership, i asked if i could bring a friend for *one* session. I asked and asked but they refused, demanding he would have to pay a £20 guest fee.

4. Some of the staff are racist.
